“There is beauty and power in unity. We must be united in heart and mind. One world, one people. – Lailah Gifty Akita”

We are immensely grateful to all the people who continuosly volunteer and to those who greatly put their efforts and time in making United Playaz Philippines a better place where children can grow, learn, make a lot of fun memories together and to always be united in every step of the way.

United Playaz Learning Center will rise soon!☝️

Now more than ever, our community needs us to step up and take action towards cleaning up many of the messes we have made through irresponsibility. And so, environmental justice for one and all should be our core mission! 🌳

As United Playaz Philippines celebrate another milestone, we also want to share our collective effort in spreading awareness on environmental protection and conservation. Big thanks to our ever supportive sponsors from all over the world, to our advisers, senior and junior members, to our young volunteers, and of course, to the resident of Barangay Tambac Bayambang, Pangasinan in helping us achieve this activity! Always remember, this is everyone’s success, Mabuhay! 🌱

One of the best things about community is that, it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn’t as individuals. When we combine our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep need, and perhaps help them find their purpose and live their dream. ✊🏻

United Playaz Philippines clubhouse construction is under way, huge thanks to all the people who continuously pour their unyielding support to our organization! Long way to go, but we’re half way through our dreams! 🙏🏼🤍

NEIGHBORHOOD BENCHES Mission: Break the cycle of youth violence and incarceration of black boys and men by creating leadership and educational models for them to change behaviors, build community, and organize for positive change.
.
.
As a part of our mission to break the cycle of youth violence and youth incarceration we remind young people of the many things killing off people in community.... such as leukemia, cancer, sugar diabetes, etc.
.
.
We acknowledged by informing our young people of the many battles to stay alive they turn their attention to living health and do less to harm than be another.

Another part of the discussion focused on behavioral changes within community and building the relationship between neighbors in the community.
.
.
The basketballs 🏀 in the cage are for everyone... for ALL. We acknowledged the need and made it happen WITH COMMUNITY INPUT. The beauty of it all is.... the young people monitor themselves and take the responsibility of placing the basketballs back into the basketball cage. This ACT of RECOGNITION is modeling changed behaviors and building community 101.

Neighborhood Benches is pleased with the conversation between the Director of Projects Daniel Osorio, mayoral candidate Maya Wiley ( @mayawiley4nyc ) and Da Homeless Hero ( @dahomelesshero ) as it relates to NB’s work.

Testimonial: " First and foremost thank you for everything. As I watch the video and check the pics, I feel so proud to wear the NB Hoodie which is the foundation of my advocacy today. That time spent in the summer of '19 gave me the courage to stand up in the summer of '20. I hope you're impressed with this story and please by all means share it with as many people as possible. Let it be a testament to what NB has produced through its work."

We have FREE sanitary napkins and other products for pick up.
.
.
WHY: Feminine Hygiene Products are a part of a monthly cost.
.
.
The lack of access to feminine hygiene products is a widespread global issue. During times of the pandemic where people are out of work… this becomes another monthly bill. Neighborhood Benches is happy with taking the initiative to provide free sanitary products to community members. This will help decrease the monthly spending in households and allow families to put funds towards other areas, including monthly bills.
