We are buzzing to be hosting the next Glasgow CreativeMornings!

This event just about closes our first full year of being the local sponsor of the Glasgow chapter which we are so proud to support.

This month's theme is Thread and we will be hearing from textile maker and artist Jen Hogg

So what is the inspiration behind this month's theme? 🧵

Have you ever pulled on a loose thread in a sweater or sock? Things can unravel quickly.

The creative process can feel like that. A nagging thought, an imperfect bit, or a big tangled mess. But maybe that thread is trying to tell you something. Follow it and see where it takes you.

Because thread is both a physical and metaphorical tool of creativity. In film and literature, a “thread” is the progression of a plot line or theme that helps tie the narrative together. While in sewing, weaving, embroidery, and knitting, the “thread” physically embellishes and holds the piece together.

No wonder a loose thread is so hard to ignore.

It turns out that all the good and bad in your life is forming a beautiful tapestry.

☀️🌅💗

If you fancy a dose of FREE creative inspiration get your tickets at the link in our bio 🎟️

If that wasn't enough: coffee ☕ and breakfast treats are also supplied 🥐 🍩

Thanks for a busy and fun filled five hours shift. You were all so very kind and respectful to our space. Now I can just focus on wiping down our counters, cash out and go home. 🙌🙌🙌
It was a very different scene pre-COVID; the card walls are always in a mess. Merchandise being moved, even destroyed. 😫 But this is a whole new world and I’m very excited to see some of these changes of behaviors in our society. Good things are coming! 🌱💚

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Stay cool and see you next week.😎

Got to print some new Mother’s Day cards before Mother’s Day! 😂 Honestly, I’m taking it as a win. But wanted to share something about this card specifically. I’ve been reading an art book and got inspired by #kandinsky and his art. Kandinsky was inspired by human shape and movement to create his paintings, so inspired by him and mothers, this card was born (yay a pun). I thought of a mother holding a baby and that illustration came up. I hope it comes through for you as well. Sending peace to everyone!

The little victories... oh the little victories.
So excited that this ^ and the other cards of our new collection are on their way to some new stockists.
Having new stockists is always exhilarating, and this time it was even more amazing because some of these new stockists are from the US! First Uppercase Press US stockists! #fireworks Keep an eye out for some stories about them!

This week I though I had Covid.
I personally think most of us will get it at some point. But can I tell you, there's no 'I'm ready for it' feeling. I was not with all the main symptoms. I only had chills, fever and headache, but the concern of passing it on to other people is madding! Anyways, did the test, it came back Negative, I'm drinking sparkling again... and this new card just sums up life. It’s up in the shop now.
