Worship Has a Way of Setting Your Heart Free
There is something beautiful about dance in worship.
Today at Upperroom Dallas, as we sang, “You’re never going to let, You’re never going to let me down,” Dancers expressed their love for Jesus with freedom, joy, and childlike abandon.
Dance isn’t about performance—it’s about surrender. It’s a response to the goodness and faithfulness of God. Sometimes words aren’t enough, and our hearts overflow in movement, celebration, and praise.
King David understood this when he danced before the Lord with all his might—not to impress people, but because his heart was captivated by God’s presence.
📖 “Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbrel and harp.” — Psalm 149:3
And as we declared those words, “You’re never going to let me down,” faith rose in my heart once again. God’s character never changes. He is faithful through every season. He is present in every valley. He is worthy of our trust.
Whether through lifted hands, bowed knees, quiet tears, or joyful dancing, worship is our response to the One who has never failed us.
Today, I was reminded that His faithfulness is worth celebrating.
Jesus, thank You for always being good. Thank You for never letting us down. 🤍🔥
