Looking back on this Nike team bonding event gives me life! So much laughter and good conversation. There’s clearly such a spirit of camaraderie and playfulness among this team and I was honored to take part in the vibe earlier this month on the famous @revolutionhall rooftop! One of my favorite memories as a 17 year old freshman walk-on pitcher @ricebsb was our team blasting “Omaha” by @countingcrows across the old Cameron Field loudspeaker during warmups at every practice and home game. It wasn’t just our anthem, it was our destination. If you listened closely you could even hear Coach Graham humming along between F-bombs 👀. And for the first time in Rice history, we made it a reality. Now 29 years later, I got to experience Omaha again with @bobaskin.86 and his team. Happy Father’s Day to me. #BOmaha

I didn’t just wake up with a blueprint. I spent two decades in the trenches building it. 🏗️👟 The Architecture for Action™ wasn’t born in a pristine boardroom. It was forged through the high-stakes wins, the “near-misses,” and the 2:00 AM pivots at Nike, Amazon, and Beyond Meat. Any teammate I’ve ever worked with knows the truth: it was rarely perfect. We faced the “strategy gaps,” the misalignments, and the decks that looked brilliant but were impossible to execute. It was in those moments—solving for what wasn’t working—that this methodology was actually built. “First came the thunder. Then the rain.” And then the gold! Somehow, we got to apply our love for Italy, MJ, the Air Jordan 1, marionettes, and esoteric dunks into the mission of a lifetime. We are typically bashful and incompetent regarding the awards circuit, but we took the plunge and will be celebrating a Gold #Clio in Athlete Storytelling tonight in Tribeca! Along with Director Zack Canepari, we’ll be raising a glass to our visionary and fearless collaborators at Brand Jordan, who opened with the best brief ever—”Italian Puppets”—Eric Wright and friends from The Puppet Kitchen, and the perfectly rugged pipes of Roni Moore.
