Thank you to Ed Upton who provided us with a second raffle prize at our Christmas party in the shape of this brilliant Gingerbread Spencer Clubhouse complete with After Eight paving!

With Ed’s creation on offer alongside the cake from Zak & Jenny, the Spencer Tennis Christmas party raffle raised £180 for the Wandsworth Foodbank which will help spread a little cheer this Christmas.

We’re not done fundraising for the Wandsworth Foodbank though! February 13th is a date for your 2025 diaries! Dave’s annual quiz night takes place on this date where money raised goes directly to the Foodbank. We’ll also be collecting items to donate to the Wandsworth Foodbank from the beginning of February up until the night of the quiz. We’ll post more details about the quiz night soon, with another post including a list of items that the foodbank will be in need of nearer the time.

Thank you to everyone who came to our clay court finals day on Saturday and helped us celebrate the 20th Spencer Anniversary of our Head Coach Dave Watts!

Alongside a couple of gifts from the club, Dave was also presented with a huge card filled with messages from our lovely members.
We thought we’d share the front of that card right here so you can see what made him smile!
If you didn’t get to write in the card, or just want to send Dave a congratulatory message - please leave a comment on this post and we’ll make sure he sees it!

Thanks to everyone who played a part in organising the whole day including Chris, Pat, Viv and Dave himself!

Thanks to Zak for putting on a great BBQ with Asian flavoured hot smoked salmon and a Tennessee Whiskey BBQ pulled pork that went down a treat!

Thanks also to Ed Upton for that show-stopping vanilla sponge cake that everyone was impressed by!

Congratulations on 20 years at Spencer Dave!
