From Bridgeport to Berlin, from House to Techno - @edwardmckeithen aka Jus-Ed has spent decades shaping his own path through underground electronic music.

As the founder of Underground Quality and the @uq.vault, he has built a musical world defined by independence, depth and a clear artistic vision. And now we’re very happy to finally share his District – connecting arts DJ set with you.

For this session, Jus-Ed takes us on a journey through the world of Underground Quality - a world where House and Techno meet without being tied to conventions, formulas or expectations.

What we especially enjoy about this set is the sense of authenticity and freedom behind it. There is depth, there is experience, but also an openness to simply let the music speak for itself. Jus-Ed moves through his selection with confidence and instinct, expressing a musical identity that has never been about following trends, but about staying true to his own artistic language.

And all of this comes with an effortless attitude and presence that makes the journey feel personal, relaxed and completely natural.

Fittingly, he opens the ride with Move D’s / @move_d.photos “Come Into My Life Remix (Vol. 3)” - setting the tone for everything that follows – just music, personality and underground quality.

We’re so very happy to have had Jus-Ed with us at District – connecting arts, and even happier to finally share the result with you 😎

Well, actaully we wanted to come back from our summer break with someone really special -but in the end, it turned out to be… „Jus-Ed“ 😉

So, now that this unbelievably brilliant piece of wordplay has had a moment to sink in, we can finally tell you how genuinely happy we are to have @edwardmckeithen aka DJ Jus-Ed with us for the next District show - and yes, we’re also a little proud that we managed to lure him to Cologne 😎

Jus-Ed has been playing records since he was ten years old and professionally since 1981. Coming from Bridgeport, Connecticut, his journey has taken him to dancefloors all over the world - from the US to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

For us, what makes Jus-Ed special is not just the history behind his name. It’s the way he plays. His sets can move from House to Techno, from deep and soulful to raw and driving, but they always feel personal. There is experience in there, of course, but also curiosity, energy and a real connection to the people in the room.

In 2001, he founded 👉Underground Qualit👈, a label that has become an important part of underground House culture and a home for artists who follow their own path. Over the years, Jus-Ed has released countless records, albums and remixes, while also helping to create a community around the music.

His path has taken him to clubs such as OUTPUT Brooklyn, Djoon Paris, Tresor / Globus, Panorama Bar and Club Tape in Berlin, where he is now based.

But more than any list of clubs, releases or years, what matters to us is the attitude behind it all: doing your own thing, staying independent, staying curious and taking the music seriously without taking yourself too seriously. That is something we can relate to very much.

So we’re really looking forward to having Jus-Ed in our show 😎

Tomorrow starting at 4pm / 16:00
I am back with my show called more then mixing!
This show was created with years of broadcasting experience since 2001.
I realized that every year brings new fans and artists.
Who fell in love with a song or track, not knowing the artist nor the reason why the music was created.
This show also helps you realize as an artist…that there are people who made it possible for you to be in the position you are in. Understanding the behind the scenes work and commitment and sacrifice from people /artist that never get credit is so humbling as well as empowering.
Come through and explore💪🏽❤️
