In 2015, luxury retailer LuisaViaRoma partnered with Hasbro on a charity project where major fashion houses redesigned custom My Little Pony figures to raise money for Save the Children and relief efforts following the Nepal earthquake. Designers involved included Rick Owens, Fendi, Marni, Balmain, Versace, Kenzo, Roberto Cavalli, and Missoni, with each brand creating a one-of-one pony inspired by its own visual identity.

Rick Owens’ pony was entirely black and reflected his signature gothic aesthetic, while Fendi’s fur-covered design was created under Karl Lagerfeld. Balmain added miniature runway-inspired styling, Versace referenced its colorful FW15 era, and Marni leaned into layered textures and playful patterns. The ponies debuted during the Firenze4Ever event in Florence before being auctioned online through eBay, turning the collaboration into an unusual crossover between luxury fashion, toy culture, and philanthropy.
