Live editing for the Buffalo Sabres is always really special to me because @ludemanphotos was the first person to ever ask me to freelance edit for him/his team.

This is my third season with the Sabres, and it’s already been a fun one as they beat the Chicago Blackhawks in their home opener on October 3rd.

I stepped into this role with the Sabres having never used code replacements or live ingesting via a server on Photo Mechanic. It’s been really awesome to take everything I’ve learned from Ben over the years (including how to better compose an image!) and use that knowledge to help other photographers and editors create workflows that set them and the people around them up for success.

(Also, I’m not kidding, I continue to tweak and improve our live editing workflow at FC Cincinnati to this day.)

Another round of Editing Explanations just dropped! So thankful to all the photographers out there who trust me with their photos, especially week in and week out like Ben, Bjorn, Grace, and Caroline do. 💟

Stats: 1004 images sent throughout the day by three photographers. We ended up with 735 edits for the Bills Crucial Catch game at Highmark Stadium.
