TLDR
I gave urfavxboyfriend a cute, pink kids’ drum set.

I started filming Jacob around last Christmas for a lot of reasons. We’re both from Corpus Christi. He’s a natural born artist and entertainer, and he’s in an interesting situation (living in the aftermath of having a viral hit song)

I was in the middle of another project I was putting pressure on myself with (as one does on a regular basis) and filming with Jacob has been like a no-rulez pressure relief valve. Jacob, same but different, has been trying to hang on to the fun of making music while dealing with all the baggage of pressure from quick-fame (and pressure from within)

Back to the pink drum set. The pink drum set, in a pretentious and symbolic and literal way, is about getting back to the fun of it all. Before internet fame and before Shh Shh Shh Jacob has been a drummer since the age of 5. (like his dad)

I dunno, Jacob has supported me and nudged me back towards the fun-of-it-all (a continuous process) and that seems like what we’re supposed to do.
