Last but certainly not least, Wilson! Wilson is involved in the Talent Development Program, Honors Program, Student Ambassador team as a tour guide and orientation leader, Leadership Institute as a Peer Leader, URI 101 Mentors, and the Latin Student Association. He hopes to pursue medicine and eventually become a pediatrician. Wilson chose to be a mentor because “I want to offer guidance to my fellow first-generation students of color who are pursuing a degree in Life Sciences and may be nervous transitioning to college. We often don’t have a foundation or knowledge of what to expect, so if I can be there for these new students, I will feel very fulfilled.” His favorite URI memory was exploring and enjoying Kingston with his fellow orientation leaders and summer tour guides.
