March Highlights and In-Betweens ✨❤️

What a busy, beautiful, and transformative start to this new chapter. I’m so grateful I got to perform in a heels piece for the first time, choreographed by @oliviacipolla, and be part of an amazing intensive led by Olivia. Getting to experience all of it alongside these incredible women made it even more special. They inspire me in so many ways, and it feels especially fitting that it all happened during Women’s History Month.

I didn’t expect to be cracked wide open, but I wouldn’t have it any other way 🫶🏼

CODA by @sabsballesteros 🔵

This video was really spontaneous, Sabrina called us a couple days before shooting and said she had this idea of emulating a rave environment that goes into, almost like the lonely walk home afterwards (I hope I got that right Sabrina!).

We used low shutter speeds to have a drugged out, or drunk effect, strobe lighting to emulate a rave, a couple different aspect ratios to be extra chaotic and speed ramping in the edit to show how you can lose track of time in environments like this.

It’s always a fun challenge to bring an idea in someone’s head to a visual format 🎥!

Coda: a concluding passage of a piece or movement, forming an addition to the basic structure.

Oscillating between the high-highs of the raves I escaped to and the confrontation of reality, Coda symbolizes the terrain of my relationship with fashion and being a creative. Wrapped up in this love letter to myself are fear, (im)patience, perseverance, frustration and gratitude for the existence of a medium that both resonates with me heavily and allows for vast exploration of my creativity. A play on the definition itself, Coda is metaphoric of the past year of my life.
