Rothorngrat—a route I’ve wanted to climb for quite a while.

An airy, stunning ridge with spectacular panoramic views. At the beginning of August, I finally stood on top.

This summer’s high temperatures melted the permafrost, making the approach significantly harder. Crossing the glacier and reaching the ridge was tough, and the usually frozen chimneys had turned into loose rock gullies that constantly gave way underfoot.

Aiguille d'Orny - Moquette, D 5b✅️

A nice warm up climb above Cabane d'Orny. Great rock and interesting sections which are never too difficult😍

Plan A was already too dangerous and we did 2 summits via some nice climbing after the first day of training next to the @refuge_albert_1er 😍

One of them was a small D😅

A nice detail from guiding Frison - Roche route on the east face of Brevent in Chamonix😍

This year the glaciers look already desperate🥲

And rock climbing away from the ice is the way to stay safe💪

Široka Peč - the Grandes Jorasses of the Julian Alps🤩

With the snow approach and descend it is probably best climbed in spring or early summer conditions. Great training route for the big alpine ridges of the western Alps💪

South faces are in right now😎

There is still snow on the north side so we have to be patient and train hard💪

Next day we went to Osp. Where we climbed the mega classic - MeDo route. It would be funny to call it a small bear (that is what medo means in slovenian language. But the real meaning of the name is much less fun. It is derived from the first two letters of the alpine clubs that the first ascensionists were part of (Medvode and Domžale). Anyway if you want to climb it and you are a small bear you have to know how climb polished slabs😅 that is what the crux is💪

And you can see the sea😍
