🛩 Home!!! 🛩 Fusion Fest was a whirlwind adventure, but it feels so good to be home after a full weekend of dance! And hey, I got to keep the t-shirt. 😉 It was so cool to share a dance inspired by the Cape of Storms and represent my city! Tribal Fusion bellydance in Cape Town may have faced more than it's fair share of difficulties over the last few years, but I think the Cape Town girlies represented ourselves well! I'm constantly inspired by the tenacity and passion of my dance sisters. And I can't wait to keep dancing and growing with them! *zagareet* #fusionfestafrica #tribalfusionbellydance

The faces behind the Sirens! 🌊🖤

What a fabulous bunch of humans! 😍

A whole lot of dancing, learning, laughing, shimmying, figuring things out, occasionally forgetting things 😂… and RUNNING! 😛 All leading up to that magical moment when it finally came together on stage!

There’s something pretty special about a group of dancers coming together, sharing a little bit of madness, challenging themselves and making some wonderful memories along the way.

A big shoutout to everyone who took part in Sara Lyn Anderson’s Sirens of the Abyss Performance Project at Fusion Fest Africa 2026. Thank you for bringing your energy, enthusiasm and your own little bit of magic to the experience. ♥️

From the rehearsal studio to the stage… what a ride!

Here’s to the Sirens, the shimmies, the laughter and all the memories made along the way! 🖤

The Sirens have emerged from the depths… 🌊🖤

And what a sight they were! 😍

A little glimpse of Sirens of the Abyss, Sara Lyn Anderson’s Performance Project, brought to life on stage at Into the Depths — Fusion Fest Africa 2026.

And this is just a handful of our 22 Sirens! 🧜‍♀️

From hours of learning and rehearsing to finally stepping onto that stage together. What an incredible experience sharing this piece with such a wonderful group of dancers!

And those costumes, that lighting, that atmosphere… everything came together so beautifully! 🖤

Fusion Fest Africa 2026 is here! Yallah! After months of preparations, we're finally here! To meet and connect with other tribal fusion bellydancers in South Africa and beyond! But, mostly to learn, grow, be challenged, and be inspired. 3 days of workshops by the incredible Sara Lyn Anderson @saralyn_vimana and an extravagant showcase of all these talented dancers on Sunday. #fusionfestafrica #tribalfusionbellydance

💃🏾 Yallah! We are here at long last! My first time at Fusion Fest Africa and taking a class with Sara Lyn Anderson. It was beyond exciting! I learned sooo many new combos and techniques, but most of all, I left inspired to learn more more more! Thank you so much to the organisers (Natalie, of course, but it do take a village!) for such a fabulous festival! Day 2 tomorrow & SHOW DAY!!!! #tribalfusionbellydance #fusionfestafrica

DAY 1 OF FUSION FEST AFRICA 2026! 🔥🖤

And we certainly didn’t ease into it! 😂

Here’s a little glimpse of Sara Lyn Anderson warming up our Performance Project dancers before a FULL day of dancing!

We kicked off at 9am with the Sirens of the Abyss Performance Project, followed by our Into the Depths Intensive, and danced our hearts out until 6:30pm! 🥵🔥

And because apparently 9½ hours together wasn’t enough, we rounded off the day with a social dinner! 😂🍽️

Sore muscles, happy dancers and plenty of laughs. What a way to kick off the festival!

And this is only Day 1! 👀🖤

Under a full moon in an Italian forest, we danced between worlds. 🌕✨

One of those rare nights where time slows, the trees become your audience, and magic feels completely real.

YiLan 🔥🐍

Video project by Olga Meos at Fusion Fest Africa 2024, South Africa. @olga_meos

Olga’s vision? Next level. Cinematic. Otherworldly. She doesn’t just choreograph — she builds worlds.

And the dancers… relentless. Bare rock, heat, uneven ground — no comfort, no shortcuts. Just strength, control, and absolute commitment.

Golden snakes in the wild 🐍✨ — fluid, fierce, and completely in our element.

What you see is powerful.
What it took is grit.

This is fusion, forged in the elements. 🐍🖤🌌

Thank you, Olga, for this incredible experience — a dream come true. ✨

More moments to come… 📸✨
