“Dealbreaker” is a one-woman show about herpes, heartbreak, and the death of the one-night stand. Created by me, directed by Francesca Sobrer, with creative consultation from Lisa Burton.

I wrote this show for younger me and for anyone who’s ever felt like they might die alone. Because of herpes or anything else!

It’s surreal to be returning to Rochester, 11 years after graduating, to talk about something I struggled with silently back then. And a few days after that, I’ll jump on the metra to perform in Elgin, IL!

The show is part storytelling, part comedy. Pull up a chair and let’s heal together ❤️

9/19 + 9/20 - @rochesterfringe - venue: @magrochester
9/24 + 9/26 - @elginfringe - venue: @elginpublichouse219

It’s International Day of Happiness! Did you know that sorority membership contributes to happiness? It’s true!

According to the Amplifying Sorority research studies, collegiate women’s most cited goal in life is happiness and satisfaction, as a result of authentic, strong relationships and having a meaningful career. Sorority women receive direct support through the sorority experience to achieve those goals.

Amplifying Sorority also helped us understand that sorority women are significantly more likely to describe feeling a sense of belonging, which is an antidote to loneliness. Women who live in chapter housing have lower loneliness, depression, and eating disorder ratings.

Finally, sorority women report higher self-perceptions than unaffiliated women, saying they have a sense of purpose and optimism about their futures. The combination of community and positivity in the sorority experience give us extra happiness to celebrate today.

Tag a sister who makes you happy!
