🍞 A little bread magic happening at The Cart Shed today!

A full house for our SOLD OUT Five-Hour Bread Masterclass with the wonderful Ursula Ferrigno!

Our doughs are tucked up under their bowls, quietly proving, while we get ready for a day of kneading, shaping, baking and sharing the simple joy of making proper bread from scratch.

With a delicious light lunch with local cheeses cured meats from @kneppwildland from @2northparade figs from @worthy_earth - simple and delicious 😋

There’s something so satisfying about turning a handful of humble ingredients into beautiful homemade bread. ❤️

And the good news? We’ll be adding another Five-Hour Bread Masterclass in early 2027 — we have a feeling this one’s going to be a firm favourite!

Watch this space! 🍞

And while I was at it I also made some fresh Ricotta…using as always the recipe and method by @ursulaferrigno

If I get some time I’d love to make some agnolotti or ravioli with the ricotta and serve it in a Brown butter and Sage sauce…my sage is looking so lovely at the moment! 🌿

Happy Friday everyone…we have a glorious sunny day up here in Mount Compass…with clear blue skies! It’s hard not to feel happy on a day like today!☀️💛☀️💖

Cooking is a labor of love. Preparing a meal takes patience, working together makes lifelong memories, and enjoying those finished bites around the table satisfies more than just physical hunger. We were blessed to share this fully customized cooking class experience at @jerichokitchen with Emma and Chef @ursulaferrigno this summer. Cheers to the people who instantly feel like family ♥️ All images shot on @canonusa EOS R5 Mark II with the RF 35mm F1.8 lens

If you don't need another Italian cook book .... then you need this one.

Cucina Di Amalfi by @ursulaferrigno is a beautiful photographic collection of sun-drenched recipes from the magical Amalfi coast. An area of Italy I know well and love eternally.

My husband rolled his eyes when I bought it as I cook Italian food most of the time, but I explained I just bought it for the lovely images.... Oh but I was wrong. There are some fantastic recipes for easy during the week meals & inspo for fancy dinners. And my ricotta gnocchi and fresh tomato sauce was a big hit tonight. I could happily cook everything - and I'm sure I will.

Just take me back to Amalfi now though. A piece of my heart is always in the south of Italy. 🇮🇹

Do you like Italian food?

One of the dream jobs of the summer ❤️

Teaching, cooking and service in the beauty of @castellodimontalero, alongside the iconic @ursulaferrigno.

Perfect parcels of agnolotti, gnocchi with datterini, peach and strawberry tarts, fig-leaf-lined cakes, pancetta-stuffed chicken in brodo, trout with salsa verde, white ragù, gelato, sorbet… and much more.

A week immersed in Piedmont produce.

What a special Sunday. ❤️

This weekend we had the joy of hosting a private class with the wonderful @ursulaferrigno . With just a small group around the table, it felt less like a class and more like old friends cooking together. By the end of the day there was so much laughter, so many stories, and a shared love of Italy that it genuinely felt as though we’d known each other for years.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Food has an extraordinary way of bringing people together.

This beautiful photograph was taken by one of the guests on the day... and don’t you think it captures Ursula perfectly? Joyful, generous, passionate and completely in her element. ❤️🇮🇹

If you’ve ever thought about gathering your favourite people together, we’d love to create a private cookery experience just for you. Whether it’s a celebration, a family get-together, a birthday or simply an excuse to spend time around the table, we’d be delighted to help make it happen.

With love Em & the team x
