Una cosa es ver Pingüinos a través de una pantalla...y otra es toparte con ellos de verdad: Poder oler sus cuerpos, sentir la energía de sus movimientos y voces. RESUMIENDO: Percibir que lo tenés enfrente, no es un cuerpo disecado, ni un robot, ni un holograma, SINÓ UN ANIMAL REAL, VIVIENTE, DE CARNE Y HUESO. Esa sensación fue lo me fijó en el camino que seguiré hasta el final de mis días...pero a pesar de que estuve viniendo a @sos.faunamarina desde el 2006, lo crean o no, como vivo lejos y mis visitas han sido muy esporádicas, NINGUNA de ellas coincidió con una liberación...HASTA AHORA. ¡FUERTE abrazo al miembro de la #bandadaurugwild💚💛: @maranellosalvaje, a quien conocí ese maravilloso día, por sacar estas TREMENDAS imágenes de OTRO momento que recordaré POR EL RESTO DE MI VIDA! (🇬🇧): Just two days ago, during the #worldenvironmentday, I had the pleasure of meeting "The ULTIMATE Plastic Hunter" from Brazil 🇧🇷: Matias from @a_revolucao.br, who has been covering THOUSANDS of kilometers of coastline ON FOOT, getting rid of each and every single piece of plastic trash in it's path. It was a true privilege to go to Punta Colorada & lend him a hand in order to show my support for his mission with all the locals who also wanted to help both him & my great buddy Richard from @sos.faunamarina, who gave him a place to stay for a short period of time, while he was rebuilding his marine wildlife rehabilitation center after getting absolutely SMASHED by NOT one, but TWO CYCLONES. And, in order to give the event a golden ending, two rescued Kelp gulls (Larus dominicanus) were set free after a successful recovery! And, if it wasn't good enough, the master photographer: @adrian_plassencia, was here to take stunning photographs the event! (🇪🇸): Hace apenas dos días atrás, durante el #diamundialdelmedioambiente, tuve el placer de conocer al "Cazador de Plásticos SUPREMO" del Brasil 🇧🇷: Matias de @a_revolucao.br, quien ha estado recorriendo MILES de kilómetros de costa A PIE, deshaciéndose de todos y cada uno de los pedazos de basura plástica en su camino. Fue un verdadero privilegio ir hasta Punta Colorada y darle una mano para demostrar mi apoyo a su misión con todos los lugareños que también querían ayudarlo tanto a él como a mi gran amigo Richard de @sos.faunamarina, quien le dio un lugar para quedarse. por un corto período de tiempo, mientras estaba reconstruyendo su centro de rehabilitación de vida silvestre marina después de ser absolutamente DESTRUIDO por NO uno, sino DOS CICLONES. Y, para darle un final dorado al evento, ¡dos Gaviotas cocineras (Larus dominicanus) rescatadas, fueron liberadas después de una recuperación exitosa!
