I am officially a Trojan Alumna!

After four years as a full-tuition merit Trustee Scholar, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Public Relations & Advertising, earning departmental honors.

Throughout undergrad, I had the opportunity to work for a federal district judge, two government executives (@sylvesterturner & @linahidalgotx), one of the largest global news media channels (@cnn), the #1 law firm in Texas (@vinsonelkins) and a reentry-focused non-profit (@thesentencingfoundation) — all across four major cities: Rome, Houston, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Additionally, I was a Defense Trial Attorney for @uscmocktrial, a Lead Teacher Assistant for @uscpep teaching writing courses to currently incarcerated women, and a Teacher Assistant for a grad-level political advocacy course at @uscannenberg.

I am SO grateful to be the first person in my family to have access to these academic and professional spaces. But I will not be the last.

Thank you to my mentors, family, and friends for your continuous support. Three degrees down, one more to go!

This weekend 30 teams from across the country came to compete in the 17th annual UNLV-USC 2026 Rebel-Trojan All-In Mock Trial Competition.

I had the distinct pleasure of judging the 4th round between @peppmocktrial, representing the prosecution, and @sdsumocktrial, representing the defense, in Midlands v. Charlie Martin. These two groups of undergraduate students were incredibly professional, beyond prepared, and a joy to see in action!

Watching the next generation of legal professionals is always reinvigorating and an opportunity to reignite your own legal passion. It’s an opportunity to provide encouragement and offer a practical understanding of how the rules of evidence play out in actual practice.

Congratulations to all the competitors this weekend and good luck on the remainder of your season!
