🍕FRESH HOT NEWS! 🍕
We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with @plum_pizza ! Our pal and hero, Kristen Lamontagne ( @wheattooth ), will be joining us as a separate small business within our space, serving up perfect NY-style sourdough pizza while we carry on being your favorite bar and bringing you the highest quality wines and good times.

Pictures above from her incredible hot dog party pop-up with Clara Kazarov and another pop-up back when we first opened in 2022.

Everything Kristen lays her hands on is gold, especially if it involves flour. A master pastry chef and bread baker, she is gonna make some pizza you’re not even ready for.

We’ll continue to serve our full menu for the time being until her exact start date (tba), so come and get it while you can!

I ran out of space on my last caption so this is a continuation of that. Also I ran out of the ability to tag more people, but you all know who you are 🤍

Thank you to @jasperludwig and @haskinsbrian for taking a chance on me when I really didn’t know what I was doing, and giving me a place to experiment and test myself and keep pushing. Your guidance, support, kindness and generosity have meant the world to me, and I was lucky to call this place home 🏠

And thank you to all of incredible coworkers, past and present, who I have learned so much from and shared so many laughs with. I hope you always think of me when you brew your coffee into a 6 pan 🥲 But most especially thank you to the world’s best assistant @spongebob.maineac , who I would not have survived the last year without.

Saying goodbye on a Sunday mid service is hard and weird and I just want to say I love you all so much and also @thealnastoremaine kitchen window is a good place to watch a sunrise.

And for everyone else reading this wondering if there is a next chapter: there is, and I will be talking about it soon, so stay tuned! But in the meantime, happy solstice and enjoy your holidays 🤍

Raffle to support families in Gaza! So many beautiful handmade items, all created with love by artisans in Palestine or by Maine artists.

How it works:
One entry = $15
Three entries = $30

Drawing will take place on October 20th. Shipping available in the US only.

Last week we were honored to throw down for a fundraiser for @trekkersinc ~ a friendly cooking competition in which you can only cook on a @biolite stove for 150 guests.
We opted to serve a fish hot dog that we perfected for our pop-up with @middle__brow earlier this summer, a play on Maine’s iconic red snapper hot dog, but made in house with fish (red snapper). We serve ours on a house Japanese milk bun with house fermented kimchi and black lime mayo.
Ironically, @ahcallaghan stopped by and tried one recently on our bar happy hour menu, and included his finding in an article in @foodandwine this month!

The alna store red snapper hot doggie is having a moment. 🐟 🌭

@trekkersinc is a nonprofit youth development organization based in Midcoast Maine, established in 1994. It provides long-term mentoring relationships and experiential learning opportunities for students, primarily through outdoor and travel-based education. Their programs aim to cultivate inherent strengths, strengthen resiliency, raise aspirations, and connect young people to their communities.
