🌙🐂 Bulls by Day… Owls by Night!

While most of campus is winding down for the evening, our USFPD Night Shift is just getting started!

Our officers enjoy getting out of the patrol cars, meeting students, sharing a few laughs, and checking in with our Bulls who sometimes seem a little more like night owls. 🦉

And apparently, you don’t even have to be a Bull to stop by and say hello! Our Night Shift officers even met a friendly campus cat who looked like it was ready to join the Herd. 🐱🐂

We’re still waiting to see if it qualifies for a student ID!
Whether you’re heading home from a late class, leaving the library, grabbing a late-night bite, or just enjoying campus after dark, don’t hesitate to stop and say hello.

USFPD is here 24/7 — because apparently, Bulls, Owls…and a few cats never sleep! 😄

Stay safe, Bulls! 🤘🐂

and that’s an incredi-BULL wrap on orientation! 💚

if you know me (especially if i was your OL), you know i love to yap…so, this is my public love confession to USF orientation and this job!

— to my lovely OL team, it always felt weird to refer to you as “my coworkers” because i saw you all as more than people i simply work with. thank you for being such good company, both on and off the clock. 🫂 whether it was us struggling to get to team time at 7:30 am or trying to gather everyone for unlimited sushi, i loved every second of it because of the fact we were experiencing everything together. i am so blessed that this job gave me all of you!

— to my amazing team village students, i know you chose your seats at random but i had such a blast meeting every single one of you. from yapping about our fav coffee orders, throwing us into random icebreakers, and answering your college questions, you are the ones that truly put life and purpose into this job. i will never ever forget a face, so don’t be a stranger on campus and remember that you always have someone in your corner! ^_^ residents of #TeamVillage will always have a special place in my heart and i hope your time at USF is nothing but memora-BULL!💛🏠

i absolutely adore this university, everything it stands for, and the sense of community it fosters, so i am eternally grateful to New Student and Family Engagement for the opportunity to represent this wonderful institution. 💌

p.s. OL venice may be gone, but PAL venice is just getting started! see you guys again reaaalll soon 😉

EDUCATE • PREPARE • PREVENT

📍 Coming soon to the Marshall Student Center (MSC)!

Safety starts before the emergency—and we're bringing our Crime Prevention team even closer to our students!

The USF Police Department Crime Prevention Unit will have a presence in the heart of campus, making it easier for students to connect with us, ask questions, learn about safety resources, and get to know the officers and staff who are here to help keep our Bulls community safe.

From personal safety and theft prevention to Defend-A-Bull, BE-SMART, CPTED, Safety Day, and customized safety presentations, our team provides practical tools and resources to help students, faculty, and staff stay informed, prepared, and safe.

This new location is about more than convenience—it's about accessibility, relationships, and bringing community policing directly to our students.

📞 Need USFPD? We're here 24/7.
Emergency: Call 911

USFPD Non-Emergency: 813-974-2628

👀 Stay tuned for more information about our new MSC location and upcoming programs!

the summer i became an orientation leader!!! ⭐️🤘🏻🤸‍♀️❤️‍🩹

wow, where do i even begin. i feel like this summer has felt so long but has also passed in the blink of an eye at the same time. this summer was arguably the most memorable one yet, and it’s all thanks to this job!!

this summer was extremely difficult for me, and it came with challenges that required immense emotional maturity and regulation. this job not only gave me life lessons that i was able to apply to my hardships, but people that i was able to lean on for support when i was struggling, and for that i will forever be grateful.❤️‍🩹

i am not the same person i was at the beginning of may, and if i had explained all of the things this job has taught me to my past self i think my jaw would’ve been on the floor, i wouldn’t have believed it. the people i’ve met, the family i’ve found, the connections and impacts ive made, the community i’ve built, the lessons i’ve learned, and the experiences i’ve had, all of it thanks to this job. i am truly just so overwhelmed with gratitude for all this summer has brought me and for all i have learned about myself along the way!!

if you were my student, thank you for giving me such a great experience and for allowing me to share a bit of my personal experience with you! every group every session was truly such a joy!! to my fellow OL’s, thank you guys for inspiring me to be a better person each and every day and for lifting me up when i felt like i couldn’t carry myself, i’m so grateful i get to call you guys my family!!🤘🏻🤘🏻

i cannot wait to continue this journey of self discovery and personal growth in the fall as a peer advisor leader and continue to help students & families! summer 26 was one for the books and i can’t wait to see what the fall has in store for me😚😚✌🏻✌🏻🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ #gobulls #gethype #yourock #parkingduty

As the summer continues, the Herd keeps growing! 💚

This week, we had the opportunity to meet another incredible group of incoming students and their families as they took their first steps toward life at USF. We loved introducing them to all the dining options available across campus, answering meal plan questions, and helping them feel excited and prepared for the semester ahead.

The countdown to the first day of classes is on, and we can't wait to see you back on campus this fall. Welcome to the Herd! 🐂 #usfdining #usftampa #myorientation #feedthestampede #classof2030
