My favorite natural hair festival did it again!! Some of the most beautiful and jubilant people I’ve ever seen graced @frizzfest and I’m so grateful to have captured it. Congrats on 9 amazing years of bringing the city together. Year 10 is about to be something else 🥺✨

I literally felt like I was on Supermarket Sweep trying to shop at @frizzfest

Trying to make it to ALL the booths while also remembering I have my own booth to get back to… because I can’t be gone too long! 😩

So glad I got to visit the ones I did…there were SO many I missed! Definitely need more time next year.

Last year, for my birthday, I teamed up with Moraa Nyaribo for an amazing party to close out, NYUSO, her exhibit at the Kranzberg. We called the party ADORNED and, like Nyaribo's exhibit, it celebrated Black abundance, futurism, and style. Before the event, we had an incredible photo shoot with Justin and Nyara of @neuer.world where Moraa and I adorned ourselves in her creations and other materials/items from the culture. I never got to showcase our pictures because we unveiled them at the event. But here, nearly a year later, I'm bringing them out!

February from back to front; the end of BHM and war is thrust upon us; a first Girl’s Trip to my other city, Philadelphia; Noah Davis’ extraordinary art—before cancer stole him from this realm—and all the ways The Philadelphia Museum of Art doesn’t disappoint; A night with Alvin Ailey; a conversation with artists about art making; two poetry powerhouses and the illustrious author of “The Last Children of Mill Creek” graced us and taught us some things about St. Louis history; some ootd style and smiles along the way; gifts of books for both me and my house; hoping that joy will bloom with the emerging daffodils.🌼
