Blessed to Be a Blessing | Advancing Access & Opportunity in Dentistry I’m so proud to announce the Bellieve Pre-Dental Scholarship — a scholarship created to advance access and opportunity in dentistry for our next generation of HBCU trailblazers. 👩🏾‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️ As a proud graduate of the Elizabeth City State University and now a dentist practicing in North Carolina, I know firsthand what it’s like to pursue a dream with limited resources. My journey taught me how much mentorship, access, and opportunity can change everything — and that’s why I’ve made it my mission to pour back into students walking the same path I once did. This initiative awards two $500 scholarships to support North Carolina HBCU pre-dental students and graduates (current + next cycle applicants) as they prepare for and apply to dental school.✨ 💛 Scholarship: Bellieve Pre-Dental Scholarship 💰 Award: Two $500 scholarships 🎓 Eligibility: NC HBCU pre-dental students & graduates (current + next cycle applicants) 📅 Applications: Open now — link in bio to apply Deadline: November 30, 2025 #PreDentalScholarship #BlackDentists #HBCUPride #FutureDDS #futuredoctor #RepresentationMatters #Dentist #Predental #DentalJourney #MentorshipMatters

Advice for the future Dentist.. ✨🦷🪥 1. A “C” or “D” on your transcript isn’t the end—it’s part of the climb. One grade doesn’t cancel out your potential. What matters more is how you respond—retaking it, learning from it, and leveling up. 2. Adversity is a character builder, not a disqualifier. If you had to work multiple jobs, help raise siblings, or overcome obstacles—those are strengths, not setbacks. They shape the kind of dentist you’ll become. 3. Comparison will kill your confidence. Someone else’s timeline, score, or school list has nothing to do with your journey. Focus on your lane and water your own garden. 4. Physics doesn’t show up on your boards… or in most of your dental school life. Don’t let one prereq trick you into thinking you’re not cut out for this. The DAT is a hurdle—not the whole race. 5. Applying early is a game changer. Early submission = more interview invites = better shot at acceptance. Start preparing now, so you’re ready. 6. You are more than your GPA. Yes, grades matter—but your story, your growth, your experiences, and how you show up in your personal statement and interviews matter too. 7. Rejection doesn’t mean you’re not meant for this—it just means not yet. Many incredible dentists didn’t get in on the first try. What set them apart? They kept going. 8. The DAT doesn’t define your worth—discipline does. You are not your score. The habits you build during DAT prep—like time management, persistence, and consistency—will carry you through dental school and beyond. 9. Studying for the DAT is a marathon, not a sprint—pace yourself. Burnout will cost you more than taking one extra week to review. Consistency > cramming every time. 10. It’s okay to switch up your study strategy if what you’re doing isn’t working. Flexibility is a strength. Whether it’s changing resources or adjusting your schedule, the goal is progress, not perfection. Share with your dental friends ! ✨🫶🏾
