Vancouver. Just wow.

Just a glimpse into how 6 nights in Vancouver during Vancouver Pride looked.

We had some incredible experiences but what really stood out for me was how you don’t have to choose between a city trip and a nature trip, it’s all right there and easily accessible.

Class is in session with professor Meg. �Why was The Dyke March Started? It was a direct response to a Pride that felt too corporate and too cis male dominated. Both are necessary and important but while Pride is a party & a protest - The Dyke March is unapologetically the later.

Celebrating 20 years since the legalization of same-sex marriage in Canada! 🇨🇦🏳️‍🌈

I’m finally catching my breath after a whirlwind of travel and overwhelming joy that has characterized the past few weeks. Together with queer friends, fellow creators, and new faces, we celebrated LGBTQ+ community and resilience, while also standing in protest for the progress still to be made.

@destination_vancouver has been a trailblazer and global leader in diversity, inclusivity, and unforgettable travel experiences for many years, with much of Canada’s LGBTQ+ rights movement rooted here. This year marks a landmark in Canada’s LGBTQ+ history, with the 46th annual Pride Festival having brought hundreds of thousands of Canadians and visitors together to celebrate the 2SLGBTQI+ community and honor two decades of marriage equality. The parade was a beautiful and vibrant reflection of how deeply diverse and culturally rich this city is, and it felt like every corner of the community showed up with so much heart.

If you’re visiting and want to dive deeper into Vancouver’s queer history, I highly recommend Glenn’s @forbiddenvancouver “The Really Gay History Tour” — it’s an incredible way to connect with the stories, spaces, and people who have shaped this city’s LGBTQ+ legacy! 💓🏳️‍⚧️
