Your eyes need teamwork, too. 👀
As the ball comes toward you, both eyes should turn inward together to stay aimed at the ball. That’s convergence, one of the visual skills that helps you judge the ball’s distance as it gets closer.

Pickleball keeps that system busy! Watch your opponent, follow the incoming ball, handle a dink near your feet, then look across the net again. Your eyes constantly adjust as the distance changes - rapidly.

Off the court? You make similar adjustments when you look from the TV to your phone or when driving, looking from the road to your dashboard and back again.

The Brock string lets you practice aiming both eyes at beads at different distances, giving you feedback about how well your eyes work together. Or not 😉

This drill is just one piece of the tracking puzzle, alongside focus, attention, and timing.

Questions about getting your eyes to play as a team? You know where to find me USOP National Pickleball Center
BTW, I always carry a Brock string with me! Stop me while you’re waiting for your next game and give it a try 👀

Fast feet are great, but can you change direction quickly, stop without stumbling, and stay balanced enough to make the next shot?

That’s where the real work begins!

Foot speed gets you to the ball. Agility helps you change direction. Balance keeps you in control when you get there!

And guess what? None of these skills improve by simply playing more pickleball.

That’s what we work on in CourtFit @usopnpc faster feet, sharper side-to-side movement, better balance, and more control on the court.

Because getting to the ball is only half the battle. Staying on your feet is the other half! 😉🔥

🐝🏓 DAY 2 — PADDLEWAR NATIONALS! 🏓🐝

🌴💪 Team TROPICKLE PUNCH is back for more! 🍍🔥

Yesterday was a GREAT day filled with awesome games, tough competition, and lots of fun! The heat was CRAZY 🥵, the wind was WILD 💨, but we battled through it all!

One thing I’ve learned playing in this Florida heat is how important it is to stay hydrated 💦, fuel your body with good snacks 🍌🥨, and keep that energy going!

Today is going to be another LONG and competitive day!

🏓 8:00 AM — Courts 46–48

🏓 11:00 AM — Courts 40–42

🏓 2:00 PM — Courts 40–42

Three rounds of competition in one day! By the time I’m finished, who knows if I’ll even be able to WALK back to my car! 😂🤣🐝

But you know what? THE BEE IS READY TO STING AGAIN! 🐝💛💪

Looking forward to another day of great competition, teamwork, laughs, and leaving it ALL on the courts!

🍍 LET’S GO, TEAM TROPICKLE PUNCH! 🍍
