Momocon 2025, its 20th anniversary, has passed. For this year, I went as Tagilla from Escape From Tarkov. I have had this cosplay in mind since last year, if not before. Apart from getting the items together, the biggest challenge of the cosplay was looking the part, particularly getting fit or muscular. For many months, I have been constantly changing my diet, experimenting with various workout techniques, increasing my protein intake, etc. As Momocon got closer, doubts began to fester in my mind to the point they became borderline body dystopia. A few days before the con, I constantly thought, "Man, my arms aren't big enough," "The abs aren't toned quite right," "My shoulders look too small," and other worrisome thoughts. However, the anxiety evaporated as many fans and attendees praised my cosplay and took pictures of and/or with me that day. Some fans even "cursed" at "me" for killing them so many times in Factory. It's quite a shame I didn't see a Killa (Tagilla's brother) cosplay. Outside of my Halloween costumes, this is arguably my best cosplay yet. If I end up at DragonCon this year, I will go as Tagilla again, this time stronger and (hopefully) more toned. He could even make a small appearance during spooky month...

Hook on the move! Some of my favorite “murder weapon in action” shots from Your Last Summer. 🪝 The secret to get that shine at night = spray paint!
