Bought this board when I was in Florida in 2025; set it up as soon as I got home and it’s been sitting for far too long. When you’re bearings even if they were new when you got em; if they sit for a year despite no use their lubricant will lose viscosity! How do I know? I’m a nerd! I love measuring tolerances and clearances. You can also tell by spinning your bearings by hand if they make this bzzzz sound when spinning them the bearing lube has lost its viscosity and broke down. That bzzz noise is the tolerance with an open space slowing the bearing down when trying to spin it fast. If you don’t care sure ride em out but that’s how I see skaters blow out their bearings when carving hard and fast especially in warmer months. More friction especially if dust sneaks in the shields(they wear down when you run dry bearings and let in a lot of debris ask me how I know). Clean em with a Bones bearing cleaning kit or heck you can make this with home materials (I’ll make a post don’t worry). I just use dawn soap most people abide by sonic bearing soap but long as you rinse em and dry em out you’ll be fine just make sure to add lubricant ASAP before they rust on you. No more than two drops of lubricant for non ceramic bones bearings and one drop if you have bones Swiss or reds ceramic bearings (tighter tolerances means less lube). Once that space between the bearing and inner and outer race is filled with lubricant you’ll be set and your bearings will spin way smoother and ride way smoother and faster just like new!!! And if you’re too lazy send me your bearings I’ll clean em hastily or completely (taking apart each ball bearing, ball cage, inner and outter race, inspecting if you need shield or ball cage replacements) for $5 Hasty clean or $10 Thorough clean. “I can get new bearings for that price” ummm most of you ride Bronson G3s or Bones Swiss bearings or Bones Super reds and those aren’t cheap!!! Why buy new when I can easily maintain them for you 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️ ask @haysaric he gives me his bearings for inspection and maintenance and I have him back in the bowls hauling a$$ like he just got new bearings. 🫡 #bo
