Season Opener, October 2026

Last weekend we kicked off the 2026/27 season for the Scottish Women’s University Golf Society.

28 women from 8 different Scottish universities were welcomed to the PGA Centenary Course, Gleneagles.

Our goal is simple: to give women from universities across Scotland the opportunity to play, compete, and connect in a friendly, inclusive environment. This was just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season 💜

A huge thank you to our sponsors @uniofstandrews and Ian Muir for making this initiative possible, and to our Technology Partner @pinvision for providing the technology to see live pin positions on the day.

Finally, thank you to every player who brought the energy and enthusiasm!

See you at the next one!

What’s life like as a student golfer?

We caught up with a few of our competitors to hear about why they love combining sport with their studies.

They return to action at @montrosegolflinks tomorrow!
