Foggy…
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I can’t see the reality- I can not see without my pair of eyes, though I can’t be what I want to be I can simply achieve what I want in the shadows and dark corners witching my mind. What is the purpose of life if all I do is just to complete the marker and finish the goal- why do I need to stop when I can simply just keep going- is it cause the reality of what the goal was has been displaced throughout the span of time…

Hey hey hey! I really had the utmost of fun today I got to see and explore and do all the things I wish I could do instead of simply rotting inside a building for 8 hours. Anyway I’ve seen so much lately and I crave more and more- like let me deep dive into the real world and see all that I can instead of being a nine to five bum that lives to work rather than works to live… Anyways I’ve honestly been taking for granted of all that I can be- like I feel like I’m limiting myself just a little bit but I’m also pushing myself to become more than what I am- lowkey I’m just a man hashtag gross- lastly I got some of the best chai ever at grounds for coffee like it was so rich and yummy! Anyways I hope you live for my spiels about god knows what- lmao see you in the next post 👀

Closed casket…
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Who will come to my funeral when the grim reaper takes my soul- when the black cat hisses and the casket lid shuts will the ghosts in the graveyard welcome me or will the time pass as I rot… when the clock strikes twelve and the church bells no longer ring…

As I bleed…
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
You can call me by the name you gave me yesterday as I bleed out. You can take my money and the love from my soul- what is time without measure what is tire tread without wear, what is blood without the metallic taste. Will the loss of time make up for the unimportance of my life…

Crossroads of the sky…
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The Crossroads and potholes that lead me to the wrong paths that create a better ending- I want to live in my own nutshell of my own make believe world I play on my own with the sun and moon as the starts cradle my body. I say hello my name is and great them with a smile as if I’ve never seen the sky- I don’t want to survive I want to live in the playground of the sun and the moon…

Dr. Matzen is on sabbatical this year, and he's doing some exciting things! One of those (many) exciting things is this recital out at East Tennessee State University.

Joining ETSU faculty members Brett Long and Louisa Peng, this collaborative recital shows the versatility of the trumpet and musical chemistry of these accomplished performers.

We sure miss him at Utah State, but are so proud! If you're in the area, don't miss this recital!!

Sorrow waves…
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Do I dream a dream of magic and wonder or is it slipping through my fingers like the water under a bridge. If I miss my train how will I be certain another one will come- will the train tracks rattle will I hear the whistle blow will my sorrow filled waves bring opportunity and chance or new beginnings and peace- though the deep blue waves big and scary creatures swim below the board I stay firm on- I glides with ease. Do I cover my face with a lack of emotion to better suit my method acting- can I read the lines to see my future in the sand- do I gamble on beginners luck or is it all just fate lined up in the stars…

Hey people… I have been so slam packed that I have bad no time to post! But a fast recap- 1. I went to the white out hoco game 2. Went to homecoming 3. Been so so soooo busy with my senior year learnings 4. I finally have my ceramic pots to post about and lastly 5. I recently obtained a tarot deck and it feels nice… anyway other than that I’ve been staying up late and sleeping in till noon :0, also I’m so pressed that I didn’t win a free saranoni blanket at the white out :( lastly I’ve felt very out of the loop in a way like I’m stuck in my own little bubble waiting to be popped maybe it’ll never happen and I float and float and float till I’m in the nothingness… ☮️

LIVE MUSIC. LOUD AMPS. AN EVEN BETTER CAUSE. 🎗️

Yesterday, Seize The Night Records had the opportunity to sponsor production for the Sigma Chi Backyard Concert at USU, helping raise money for the @huntsmancancerinstitute !

And USU showed up.
Together, the event raised OVER $1,000 for cancer research, with an incredible lineup of local artists bringing the backyard to life.

🎤 Lila Daines kicked things off with an awesome looping acoustic solo performance.

🔥 Redline came out SHREDDING — bringing the ’80s ballad rock, grunge, massive guitars, and appropriately melting some faces.

And Hurry Up and Wait closed out the night with an incredible headline set.

Seize The Night Records was proud to sponsor the live sound and lighting production for the bands and help make an event like this happen for such an important cause.
While recording and showcasing the incredible performances of these bands.
Huge thank you to Sigma Chi at USU, every musician who performed, everyone who helped put the night together, and everyone who came out and donated.

This is exactly why we love live music: bringing people together, supporting our community, and using music to make an impact.
