Lax ref risks. This ref got caught a couple of times in between opposing players and he didn't think it was funny. 😂

Shout out to the great refs willing to show up and work (and risk their lives on the field). 🖤🤍🖤

Incredible alumni weekend!

Gene Olson (Right) was inducted into the USU Men’s Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Gene, #14, played midfield for the original team in 1975. Gene first saw lacrosse when serving an LDS mission in Annapolis, Maryland, where he saw the Army vs Navy game. He kept tabs on the sport and when he returned home to Utah State, he joined the team playing for the first time. Gene’s contributions to the team have made an incredible impact to this day! Gene lives with his wife in Burley Idaho.

We are also excited for George Morgan (middle) repping the Utah State men’s lacrosse hardware!

We are grateful for all who came out to support the alumni and support the current team!

BYU Men’s Lacrosse will have a coach out scouting at Mountain Warfare this October 24-25.

BYU is tied for the most national championships in MCLA history with six titles, most recently in 2026. The program has made every MCLA National Championship tournament since the format began in 1997.

Players competing this weekend will have a legitimate opportunity to be seen by one of the top programs in the country. This is on top of everything else this event supports: 300+ athletes, 1,000+ attendees, and a weekend built around raising funds for veterans.

🚨We need you! In partnership with @suumlax , we are honoring 1LT Tyler Feehan, an SUU graduate who was killed in action in Jordan during an Iranian attack on July 18th. We are dedicating the Mountain Warfare Torunament’s main playing field and the Veterans Memorial Game in his honor. 🇺🇸

How can you make a difference and support? Bring your team, and join the event as a player or a sponsor! SUU has committed, and we are looking for the rest of Utah to follow.

Your participation will directly support services that benefit American Heroes. We hope to see you in October, and please reach out with any questions!

What is a traditional Shootout for Soldiers? It’s an event designed to engage as much of the community as possible to support Veterans and First Responders through playing lacrosse. 🇺🇸

Originally founded as a 24-hour lacrosse event where a new game was played every hour on the hour, Shootout for Soldiers is all about bringing people together to have fun.

Now back in the Beehive State powered by the Utah Lacrosse Collective, these games are open to all and can be played in traditional 10v10, 7v7, or 6v6 formats, as well as specialty matchups such as Fathers vs. Sons, Mothers vs. Daughters, adaptive and disability games, or any other format that brings the community together. We want to tailor the experience to fit its participants.
