One of the pleasures of designing public work is seeing spaces used and interpreted in new and different ways. This week saw the takeover of the Nicholson Galleries at the Chau Chak Wing Museum by the University of Sydney’s MADSOC (Movement and Dance Society) for their Museum in Motion programme.

Reflecting the surrounding artworks and exhibitions, the self-choreographed works reflect on the broader concept of what a museum is - something we often consider in our work for cultural institutions. It was wonderful to see the gallery spaces come alive with these dynamic and expressive performances, and congratulations to the dancers involved.
