I still have really bad days. But I also have days when I feel like me and can do things almost like before. A little bit ago I was part of this audition at Utah Copa and it felt like me again. This is Callen. Her mom said I could post this. I was sooo proud of her. For going for it. For listening to what I wanted and going for it! This is what I missed the most being sick for so long. Helping the kids believe in themselves. She did awesome. And I got to do what i love more than anything....

Years from now, they won’t remember the lights or the applause.

They’ll remember the hands that fixed their costume, the friends waiting in the wings, and the people who became family along the way.

At Utah COPA, the greatest gift of the performing arts isn’t the performance.
It’s the lifelong connections built behind the curtain.✨🎭

🫶 COPA FAMILY! At COPA we often hear students and staff make comments about loving and being so grateful for their friends, directors, former students, parents of COPA friends, etc. who have become their “COPA Family”. Here are some images following our recent winter concerts that really seem to epitomize this sentiment and show the love & support at our conservatory.

If you have any pictures or videos that continue with this theme from any of our studios please send them to erin@utahcopa.com and we’ll be excited to share them as well.

🩷💚 @karalindsay1 & @carolinebowman5 with COPA! One of the very cool opportunities we recently had at @mtcaofficial was to learn from Broadway stars, Kara Lindsay & Caroline Bowman. We enjoyed masterclasses, talkbacks, performances, and just chatting with them. We’re grateful for the time we had to learn from these amazing women! These are already unforgettable memories. 🫶

Kara Lindsay, is an American actress and singer, best known for her roles as Katherine Plumber in Newsies (2012) and Glinda in Wicked (2014, 2016, 2018, 2019).

Caroline Bowman is an American actress and singer who has performed in multiple Broadway musicals, including Wicked, Kinky Boots, Sunset Boulevard, Smash, and the national tours of Spamalot, Evita, and Frozen.
