Happy Rocky Top Tuesday!!! Rocky Top will always be home sweet home to me… but it almost wasn’t home at all. 🧡🤍 I was first accepted to the University of Tennessee in 2020, but COVID delayed my start. In 2021, I was back—and that delayed beginning became a journey that changed my life. I earned my BSW, then my MSW. Along the way, I found community, grew into my voice, and deepened my commitment to serving others. UT became part of my story in ways that extend far beyond the degrees on my wall. Now, I’m honored to serve on the Young Alumni Council. There’s something special about returning to a place that helped shape you and having the opportunity to help shape what comes next. I’m excited to bring my experiences, perspective, and love for this community to the council—and to help more students and alumni feel connected to the place we call home. The timeline looked different than I expected. Looking at where it brought me, I’m grateful I found my way back. From student to alum to Young Alumni Council member: still learning, still serving, and always a Vol. Rocky Top, you’ll always be home sweet home to me. 🍊 #MyLifeInFootnotes #YoungAlumniCouncil #UTKnoxville #VolForLife #RockyTop

Excuse me for getting emotional 😭 It dawned on me the other day that so many of the people that sit in my chair is based on the connections and relationships I made in college. I am so grateful and so honored to serve and have the support of The University of Tennessee alumni in Atlanta and beyond! It would take all day to tag and shout out everyone but know that I love you and I don't take it for granted. EVER! #vfl #gobigorange BTW... I don't typically color locs but because my fellow alumni asked me, I obliged! That's how much y'all mean to me 🧡
