I LOVE THIS GAME 🎉🎉🎉 6TH MARATHON IN 7 MONTHS DONE ✅

Today was all about the people! A full turnout by the @utsrunclub crew and great to run alongside @siharper and @kevin_g79 from start to finish! 🖤 Proud of @siharper battling through with a torn hamstring 😭🙌🏽

Bumped into plenty of faces along the way including my man @kole_dc who smashed it today! Incredible! 🎉🎉

Great to see @curtis_ynwa99 @robbo_t16 @mickr1998 smash their first marathon and @eileena.x running for the 2nd time in Chester.👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

Also great seeing @statham777 and @kylew_8 who I didn’t get a pic of (sorry!). 🤦🏻‍♂️

Absolutely stellar support from the @2stepcollective crew as always from @kirstyamelia97 @jordandoran98 @sophiefenechx @lowri_fitruns on the infamous Sandy lane!!

Then greeted at the end by @cragus11 @omarathletix and @brandz_run.

Absolute belter of a day! Never doing Chester again though cos the course stinks 😂😂😂 Cruised to a 4:05 finish though. 🎉

I appreciate every step I take in these races and I don’t take it for granted, because one day they will just be a faded memory! 🙏🏽

6TH MARATHON IN 7 MONTHS TOMORROW…

2026 has been a busy year, and what better way to close it out than go back to where it all started at @chester.marathon.half.10k.tri where I ran my first marathon 3 years ago.

Have a few niggles, so tomorrow is just about getting around. But loads of people I know running so can’t wait to ride the vibe train around Chester. Let’s goooooooo 🎉🎉🎉🚂🚂🚂

🇩🇪 BERLIN CHANGED HOW I RACE…

Berlin 2025.

I went there chasing one thing:

SUB-3:30.

I was so focused on the outcome, I forgot to enjoy the experience.

THE PLAN WENT OUT THE WINDOW.

It was 26°C.

By mile 5–6, I knew things weren’t right.

By 10 miles, I’d blown up.

But instead of adapting, I kept chasing the race I’d planned.

I FELT LIKE I’D LET PEOPLE DOWN.

I’d trained hard.

I was running for charity.
I was running for my dad.

So when I crossed the line in 3:47, I couldn’t see the achievement.

I just felt like I’d failed.

BERLIN TAUGHT ME TO ADAPT.

It took me weeks to realise I’d just run a World Marathon Major and barely taken it in.

Anything can happen over 26.2 miles.

If the goal has to change, change it.

But Since Berlin, I realised whatever the outcome I want to make sure… IT’S BEEN A PARTY! 🎉🎉🎉

And now I focus on a great time before a great time.

If you’re running Berlin 2026…

Chase your goal. You’ve worked hard for it.

But look up. Take it in. Enjoy it.

There will always be another race.

You can chase another PB.

You might not get another Berlin. 🇩🇪

SYD 2026 FLATLAY 🇦🇺🐨🦘🌏

The last nine marathons have all had something bigger behind them.

My dad. My Family. Wirral Hospice. 2Step. UTS. My mates and all the people on here who’ve backed me, messaged me, donated, shouted my name from the side of the road or just followed the madness.

There’s always been someone else in my head when it gets tough.

But Sydney is different.

This one’s for me.

And yeah, maybe that sounds a bit selfish. But I think I’m alright with that.

No big challenge attached to it. No deeper reason. No trying to make it mean more than it needs to.

I’ve travelled halfway around the world with a pair of running shoes and somehow I get to line up and run a marathon through Sydney.

And after all the uncertainty over the last few weeks, just getting to that start line makes me even more grateful.

So I want to enjoy this one. Soak up the noise. Look around. Take it all in. Hurt a bit. Probably question my life choices around 35k. And just run.

Because running has given me a lot over the last few years. Places I never thought I’d go. People I’d never have met. A version of myself I probably didn’t know was in there.

The last nine had other people written all over them.

Number ten has my name on it.

Sydney. This one’s mine. 🇦🇺

LETS FUCKING GO!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
