Better late than never😅

June 3rd: Nox, Danny, and I meet at Art Hill for one last sunrise overlooking the city before finishing the last of the checklist and having our last Wednesday Night event
June 4th: Danny and I packed up for our weeks long adventure and headed off! Day 1 we made a stop in Columbia, MO for coffee per @ruth_or_rose 's recommendation, in KC for barbecue, and then drove for hours through a whole lot of nothing called Kansas, straight through from STL to Fort Collins, Colorado where I finally got to see my beloved best friend and her wonderful fiance😍 after our long separation.
June 5th: We spent the day with Ren and Sarah and they showed us around Fort Collins, we saw a gorgeous view, got brunch, went dress shopping🤭, got drunk by the pool, and all together had a wonderful day.
June 6th: We bid farewell to Ren and Sarah and headed upwards and onwards. Danny dragged me to nightmare land (Buccees) and we explored downtown a little to make up for missing the Rocky Mountain National Park due to booking problems. We then headed up into Wyoming where we had our first car problem: the plastic cover for the undercarriage came off- easily resolved by some very kind mechanics in 5 min for free (we tipped) and then made it to our first campsite, a gorgeous spot near a river.
June 7th: We made it to Grand Teton!! Made some progress with our license plate game, hiked a little, encountered a bear (perhaps a little too up close and personal), and were in awe of the mountains. Then traveled up to Yellowstone! where we missed Old Faithful by all of 3 minutes and then headed to our campsite.
June 8th: Spent the day touring around Yellowstone, overlooking the canyons, small hikes to view waterfalls and through sulfuric pools, saw lots of crows, bison, and bears, actually witnessed Old Faithful and had some lovely conversation with strangers over ice cream, and spent another night in Yellowstone.

Pre-Summer☀️

There is nothing I love more than coming out of seasonal depression and finally soaking up the sun again🥰
April through May was the perfect combination of new and nostalgic and mostly filled with hard work and long hours but nobody can slow me down or hold me back.
Here's a few things I've been up to lately:
Long hours lifeguarding
Nannying + babysitting the most wonderful kiddos in the world❤️
Locked in on fitness
Local adventures
Runway modeled for the lovely and talented @jaiadevi.designs
Lots of hours on FaceTime with my darling
Pool and Karaoke bar with my friends on my rare day off
Long mothers day dinner with Mama
Caught up with old friends
Hosted 4 Wednesday night events
-sand volleyball
-"tag" in the park (mostly just hanging out)
-karaoke in the park with a 'hear me out' angel food cake and strawberries
-bonfire and smores
Lots of walking👟
Time spent with the best puppy in the world
Experienced the privilege of being a bridesmaid and watching my oldest friend @abigailhanson5.29 getting married

This morning, @arannis1 and I packed up my car and we're off on our adventure to kick off my summer in Canada with my love. This week was filled with tearful goodbyes and well wishes but like Walt Whitman says: I am large. I contain multitudes. The fear of change, the grief of time spent apart, and the excitement for the future exist all at once and im grateful for all of it.

Look out for posts of our adventure and dont hesitate to reach out my lovelies

Late Summer post lol.

This summer was kind of crazy because I worked my butt off, running around to work 5 jobs. Part time at ALDI, Lifeguarding, Catsitting, Babysitting, and Teaching Swim Lessons. But all that work didnt stop me from getting to Wednesday night events, a few scout adventures, date nights, and an extra movie night or two along the way🩷
This year's Wednesday Night events included:
PROM!!!
Game Night(s)
Volleyball
Chat and Craft
Rock Climbing
Ice Skating
Bake off
Learning dances
Summerween
Murder Mystery
Picnic
And a few other things that got thrown together like probably 100 rounds of Cards Against Humanity, The Mind, and a bonfire.
Despite the hours upon hours of work and the mess of seemingly neverending 100°f days, it was an excellent summer, a very memorable 21st birthday, and another perfect example of why, when I think of summer, I think of all the love and joy in the world because that is how my amazing friends make me feel, always.
A special shoutout to @anna__macky for having the courage to join a new friend group, this summer would not have been nearly as wonderful without you🩷. To @tired_red_eyes, whom no matter how far away she may have to move, will always be my best friend. To @utterly_icarian, for all the ways you've invited into your freezing cold house during the heat of summer, and more importantly, all the ways you show up for me over and over again, these many years. To @arannis1, for all the days by my side at the pool, for helping to keep the Wednesday nights alive, and for your dedication to showing up for life, which I find so admirable. And finally to @m_steinbeckeriii, who simply is my heart, my love, my life❤️.
Sorry to make every caption on my Instagram a love letter, but with all of these blessings, how could I not?
Currently traveling leaving London, so expect to see the Europe posts real soon!
I love you all so much

21!!!!!

It's so exciting and absolutely devastating🥳😭

I know that all these incredible and beautiful things will be blooming in the coming years but leaving childhood behind completely, and even more heavily: to leave behind my identity as a youth in scouting; it all comes with a lot of grief.
But despite of all that I had such a wonderful Birthday this year🥰
On Friday, Michael took me on an aquarium date after work which was so fun (I pet the stingrays😍).
On Saturday, he took me to my favorite lunch place: The Blue Owl in Kimmswick, MO, and ran my errands with me before we got to my party!!!
Nox's parents are so sweet and wonderful and let us use his house to have a pool party/sleepover. Michael grilled for us, Kris made amazing mashed potatoes, and we had a really wonderful time playing games, swimming, eating ice cream cake, and participating in responsibly consuming a certain category of beverages by those who were eligible 🫡

I love all of my wonderful friends who made this birthday one of my best ever.
And a special shout out to Ren and Sarah who made time to celebrate with me before making their own big life changes, love you forever and miss you always💗💗💗

The real prom post!!

I can't even begin to explain how much I loved prom and how proud I am of myself and my friends for putting it together.
We rented out the back pavillion at Vago park, put up decorations and lights. I made an absurd amount of pasta, there was garlic knots, salad, watermelon, cookie, brownies, and root beer floats.
We had 18 people total and everyone showed up looking their absolute best. We had keepy-uppy with balloons, a massive game of cards against humanity in teams, we danced and played on the playground. The weather was absolutely perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect.
Im also so happy that I got to spend this prom with my love because 3 years ago at our senior prom was where i first fell for Michael🥰

I'm so blessed to get to spend another summer with my favorite people in the world and this was the perfect way to kick it off. I love you all so much💗

Yesterday was such a big day!!

First, I experienced the wonderful surprise of being awarded the Council Outstanding Service Award! Only 1 adult and 1 youth out of 23 districts. I feel so honored🥰

I also graduated with my associates degree in fine arts from @stlccedu. 3 years for a 2 year degree and a reminder that life doesn't have a timeline. I'm moving forward completely debt free (for now lol), a better artist, having made wonderful new friends, and I'm more sure than ever that I'm on the right path and capable of amazing things. I'm also sure that an associates degree doesn't mean that im done with community college forever, I'm so grateful to really feel like no matter how old I get, I can always take more classes, learn more, start over, continue on.

Oh, and what an absolute privilege it is to graduate with @2fluff2beasty (Anna Kasprzyk), kindergarten graduation, 8th grade graduation, high school graduation, and now associate's degree. Im so lucky to have such a wonderful soul in my life for so long and to experience so many milestones together!

Im also so grateful for my beautiful friends for showing up for me over and over again. In my good times and my bad. Every day with you is my luckiest yet. (The last slide is a jump scare to when our friend group was solidified: when i forced my only 3 friends at time together and called it a friend group lol, it all worked out)

Much love to all the other graduates! (And especially @tired_red_eyes (Ren Keller) whose graduation for associates in Fine Art I went to on Wednesday)

This year, I got 2 paintings into the Annual Juried Student Art Show at @stlccedu meramec and I ended up taking 3rd place in Fine Art for my painting of Nox!
This year, there were over 400 artworks submitted to the show, and 191 works were accepted (so getting 2 pieces in is a big deal in itself). 36 artworks were recognized at the opening night on Friday, of those awards, only 8 people received prizes. 3 in Applied Arts, 3 in Fine Arts, and 2 for Best in Show. It is a huge honor to recieve this placement!
I feel really proud of myself and my growth as an artist to go from not being accepted into the show last year to winning 3rd place for Fine Art really speaks to how hard I've worked this year and how far I have come in my work.
Thanks to @tired_red_eyes @utterly_icarian and to my mom and brother for showing up for me and celebrating with me! And again to Nox for letting me paint him last semester.
Im excited to get my degree in Fine Art next month and to keep painting and creating for a long time.
Stay tuned for my next project; it's gonna be HUGE...

Tonight, Nox, Jaia, and Claire joined me in trying something new!
I was looking for things to do around St. Louis and I found this 90's themed party hosted by @nocturnalstl and we decided to check it out. We didn't know what to expect, but it was advertised to be music, mocktails, games, and more, with no drugs or alcohol and it sounded like a good place to be. And it absolutely was. Everyone was so nice, everyone was talking, dancing, playing games, no one was really on their phones. What an awesome idea to encourage everyone to be present and have fun, I immediately felt so safe and welcomed.
We danced to killer 90's music, Jaia and Claire played mini connect four, we all played a few rounds of uno, and when I saw an empty whiteboard I couldn't help but draw an icon of the 90s: Scooby Doo. Oh, and I had their orange sherbet mocktail, and it was absolutely delicious.
I'm trying really hard to go new places and meet new people, and not succumb to the bleh-ness of winter and this was a really fun push out of the comfort zone. 🥳

Thank you for being amazing friends Nox, Jaia, and Claire. Much love to you three for entertaining my spontaneous adventures, and for generally being such wonderful human beings♥️♥️♥️
