Our @maya.adi_ shares what makes her thankful:
“I’m so thankful for this healthy, beautiful life I get to live. Every morning I wake up grateful to be here, grateful for the nature that surrounds me and the people who make every day brighter. Some days I still can’t believe how lucky I am to experience this life. I am especially thankful for my school, which has made being far from home feel so much easier. It’s become so much more than a school. It feels like a second home, and the people here feel like a second family. Even on the days I miss home the most, I’m surrounded by so much warmth that it never feels too far away. And Alpha Phi, It has given me lifelong friends, sisters, and a place where I always feel like I can fully be myself. Getting to live my life to the fullest and feel this happy around these people is something that could never be replaced. I wouldn’t be able to feel this thankful without my family, who made all of this possible. I’m so grateful for the memories, the friendships, and the sense of belonging I’ve found here. My heart is so full, and I really couldn’t ask for anything more !!!!!!♥️♥️⭐️⭐️”

Happy Monday!! We are so excited to introduce you to @katiehawks_ this week ✨🪞🤍

Katie is a freshman from Greenwich, Connecticut majoring in Business Administration. In her free time she loves to go on walks, go to the beach, travel, try new food, go to farmers markets, see new movies, and spend time with family and friends! 🤸‍♀️

Her Why Alpha Phi:

“I grew up only 10 months apart from my sister, so sisterhood has always been such a big part of my life. She joined Alpha Phi at UVA, giving her lifelong friendships and girls who constantly support her, which showed me how powerful female community can be.

Coming to college far from home, I knew I wanted to find that same sense of belonging. During rush, every time I left the Alpha Phi house, I had this feeling in my heart that it was where I was meant to be. The conversations were lighthearted, and I felt completely like myself.

In just two months of being an Alpha Phi, I’ve already met some of my best friends and built relationships with older girls I truly look up to. Alpha Phi has given me a strong, uplifting community to grow with, lean on, and experience new things alongside, and I’m so grateful to call it home!”
