Dear UVF, Thank You.

Thank you for so many memories
for lifelong friends who became family
for teaching me many things about myself I didn’t know
for molding me into the person I am today
for giving me mentors who became friends and colleagues

It is sad to hear that UVF is closing. Dont get me wrong, it is far from a perfect place, and many students and friends have been hurt in one way or another by UVF. But many of us wouldn’t be who we are without it. We wouldn’t have cultivated the skills God has called us to use, we wouldn’t have met friends who we’ll still talk to daily, and many many other things

I loved UVF for the people. Professors who believed in us, prayed for us, and cared for our wellbeing. And friends who I’ll never forget serving with for a breakaway, uprise, or district events. It hurts to say goodbye to a place knowing many of us won’t be able to see eachother again. Where students wont be able to sit in on another Keinath class or watch another Christmas chapel with Dippold speaking, or watch a random squirrel find its way into the anvil and run around while memage makes a meme about it.

UVF was flawed, but you can’t ignore the good that happened there.

Thank you, for everything💙
