Ever wonder how donations make a difference at UVU? 👀💚

Meet the President’s Scholarship Ball! ✨🎓

It’s more than a fancy night out. It’s a chance for our community to come together and raise funds that help UVU students pursue their education.

Because behind every scholarship is a student with goals, dreams, and a future worth investing in. 💚

A huge thank you to our Presidential Sponsors, Chelsea and Casey Baugh, for believing in our Wolverines and helping create more opportunities for students!

We had the opportunity to bring students to the Navajo Nation to learn about traditional foodways, cultural practices, and the knowledge passed down through generations. From preparing tamales to sharing in the process, these experiences create meaningful connections to Indigenous culture and community🌽

On Thursday night I joined a panel at @utah.valley.university for “The Strongest Play Is Asking for Help,” presented by @intermountain and @thedefensiveline. As a former UVU sprinter and Olympic athlete, I was moved by candid conversations about grief, injury, recovery, and how therapy and community support can change lives.

This wasn’t about one person — it was about a community reminding one another that it’s okay not to be okay. If you’re on campus or part of a team, please check in on each other and use the available resources.

About The Defensive Line
Solomon Thomas, a current NFL defensive lineman for the Tennessee Titans, and his parents, Chris and Martha, started The Defensive Line after the tragic suicide of their daughter and sister. The organization is dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness and provides educational workshops and speaking engagements for student‑athletes at universities.

It's not me vs. you - it's how we grow together! 🎓💚

Adam Bettis, history teacher at Sage Canyon Middle School in Eagle Mountain, reflects on how Utah Valley University shaped who he is today. At UVU, collaboration is more than just a talking point - it's the culture! Helping others succeed doesn't diminish you - it builds you. That's the kind of teamwork mindset UVU instills in every student, one that Adam now carries into his own classroom every day.

Utah Valley University’s impact is measured not only by who walks across the graduation stage, but by what graduates do afterward.

Today, nearly 128,000 Wolverines strengthen businesses, serve communities, lead families, and contribute to Utah and beyond. Their success reflects the value of a UVU education and the opportunities it creates.

Last week, Kristy and I joined members of the UVU Alumni Board of Directors for their annual kickoff dinner in Roots of Knowledge.

It was a meaningful evening with alumni leaders who remain deeply connected to the university and its students. Through mentorship, advocacy, service, and engagement, they help expand opportunities for current and future Wolverines and strengthen the relationships that make UVU a place of belonging and possibility. Thank you for your continued leadership and commitment to our students and alumni community.
