This one is for everyone in my corner 💚💛

I don’t think I could ever properly put into words how grateful I am for the people who have supported me throughout this journey 🫶🏻

To my coach Danny, thank you for always believing in me, even when I struggled to believe in myself. You’ve been there through the highs, the lows and everything sport could throw at me. I truly believe the difference between a good coach and a great coach is being able to see the person behind the athlete and adapt to what they need.

To my Mum and my sister, thank you for following me around the world just to watch me run for less than 30 seconds! You’ve been my constants through it all, and I know how much you’ve both sacrificed to be there for me. From cheering me on in the stands to being the first people I see after every race, I’m so grateful to have you both by my side.

To my coach Bec, thank you for being such a patient, supportive and understanding coach.

To everyone at Kinetic Track Squad, thank you for being the best squad I could ask for! I’m so grateful to train alongside people who push me to be better while making every session something to look forward to.

To my family and friends, thank you for keeping me grounded and reminding me that there is a whole world outside of athletics.

To my teammates, thank you for sharing this journey with me and for making this games one I’ll never forget.

To my physios Linda and Steve and my dietitian Simone, thank you for everything you’ve done behind the scenes to help me stay on the track and get to the start line.

To WAIS, the University of Western Australia, UWAAC, Variety WA, Variety International and Rebound WA, thank you for supporting my athletics journey and helping make it possible for me to keep pursuing my goals.

From our days together at Goolellal Primary School, to vaulting at RDA, and then watching our lives take different paths, I have loved seeing your journey unfold.

I watched you proudly represent Australia at your first Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018, then your second, and now your third. Watching you finally cross the finish line to win your very first Commonwealth Games gold medal brought me to tears. I know how much hard work, determination and sacrifice it has taken to reach this moment.

Rhiannon, your journey is proof that dreams really do come true when you never give up. I could not be prouder of everything you have achieved. Congratulations on becoming a Commonwealth Games gold medallist. A childhood dream come true 🥹 Wearing the green and gold in a season where I thought it might be my last, felt like a sign - hard work will never got unnoticed

I came away with 5th and gave it my all on race day but unfortunately came down with a cold 2 days before draining all my energy! Nevertheless I am so grateful for the opportunity and nothing can takeaway from the fact that I got to represent Australia!! 💛💚

Thank you to my amazing support crew Mum, Dad and Brayden for coming along for the ride and witnessing my childhood dream 🫶🏻 Your support means the world. Remo, my coach who has stayed persistent to help me achieve my dreams, thank you! You couldn’t be there on the day but you have never stopped believing.

Time for some R & R and l’ll see you next season 🫡
