Sometimes postgraduate and research can be quite daunting and stressful. So my friend and I @adaveinbiology decided to take some time off and wonder of in the wild regardless of the harsh rain and rugged terrain we still endured and it was worth it. Big shout to @jimgreenfootwear their boots simplified the adventure.

Last hike of the semester done and dusted. This also means I am only left with 5 months in office as the chairperson of the @uwchiking club, and I cannot wait to do the most with it. Really looking forward to the adventures of 2nd semester, for now stay calm and study for your exams people.

Cape Crag Lizard - Pseudocordylus microlepidotus, basking on granite rock surfaces in Hout Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. This species is endemic to the southern regions of the Western Cape and is restricted to montane and coastal rocky outcrops within fynbos vegetation. Its distribution is limited to the Cape Fold Mountains and adjacent lowland granite outcrops, making it a narrow-range endemic with strong habitat specificity.
