This satirical comedy by Larissa FastHorse centers around a group of four well-meaning but culturally insensitive theatre artists who attempt to create a politically correct elementary school play about the first Thanksgiving while struggling with their own biases and the lack of Native American representation. (Poster artwork by Eleanor Strange). The Thanksgiving Play runs November 18 at 11:00am, November 18-21 at 7:30pm, and November 22 at 2:00pm in the Center for the Arts Theatre. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $5 for students/under 18 (all tickets for our opening two performances on November 18 are $5). For tickets, call 608-342-1298 or visit tickets.uwplatt.edu.

As many of you know, I am so honored to have recently joined the Recording Academy as a voting member. I’ve also submitted my first album to be considered for a GRAMMY! If you are also a voting member and considering projects, I want to proudly share my duo’s new album, Unseen//Unheard, which has been submitted into the GRAMMY’s Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance category. Unseen//Unheard is the low-flute duo of Rose Bishop and Heather Neuenschwander, a fearless collaboration built on the belief that sound can be both resistance and revelation. Specializing in the rarely spotlighted voices of alto and bass flute, the duo pushes their instruments, and the tradition they come from, into radically new territory. Check us out! Links in my bio 🔥 www.unseenunheardduo.com/fyc I appreciate your consideration, and would love to know more about any projects you have submitted as well 💙 #iamtherecordingacademy #grammys #recordingacademy #newmusic #music @grammys
