WILLIE WORKS‼️🟣⚪️

Our September Point of Pride is none other than William Hodgins! Willie has put in an incredible amount of intentional, consistent work this summer to launch into a huge fall training block - we could not be more proud! Excited to see how this invested time and continued improvement pay off in huge throws and growth this coming year! It has already produced some unofficial PRs in summer competition!

Well done, Willie! Keep pursuing more!

The (Christian Patzka Scholarship) award winner is Molly Heidorn. Christian Patzka quietly compiled one of the most distinguished resumes in Division III history. He inspired thousands with relentless work ethic and race plans that made decisive moves in championship situations appear effortless. Christian regularly opened gaps on competitive fields within five seconds, frequently leaving the pack to contest second place. He had opportunities to leave Division III but chose to remain at UW–Whitewater, committed to the programs coaches and his teammates. As a Warhawk he became a six-time NCAA national champion, a 16-time NCAA All‑American, and a 22-time All‑WIAC honoree, including 13 WIAC championship titles. He holds school records in the 1500m, steeplechase, indoor 3k, indoor 5k, outdoor 5k, and 8k, and was part of the record-setting DMR. His prominence in Wisconsin is unmistakable, if you go to a meet you wouldn’t have to look hard to find his name somewhere. (He was that good, yes!)

One of the Wisconsin D3 distance running icons and future HOF athlete left a standard in the WIAC and the bar was set very high!

🟣‼️Throwers 4x100m Relay - 4/25/26‼️⚪️

Today’s UWW Throws Open the Vault takes us back this this spring’s Drake Alternative - our final home meet of 2026! Now just one month away from fall classes at UW-Whitewater, it’s time to take a glance back at a riveting race between the men and women of UWW Throws!

A wonderful job well done by our women (Jenna Wilkinson, Caitlin Zingsheim, Lou Matulenko, and Jeana Roscoe) and congratulations on a big win by the men (Landon Martin, Mason Baures, William Hodgins, and Peter Popp)! No shortage of fun, laughs, and great memories from this crew! Some steeple pit cooldown dives to cap off an awesome day as well! Please enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed the race!

PUMPED to get back to work for the 2026-27 campaign in just a few short weeks in what is shaping up to be an incredible year for the Warhawks!

Here we go, Hawks! 🟣⚪️

🟣2026 Warhawk Throws Summer Open II⚪️

A stellar Sunday for the 2026 Warhawk Throws Summer Open II! Thank you to all those who joined us to compete or cheer on the fun! Last year we less than 60 competitors between our TWO summer meets - at this meet alone we had 61 registered! Fantastic performances and just a great group of people across the board as well - it again shows how amazing the throws community in our region really is! Thank you for making it so special!

We hope you enjoyed your experience just as much as we did - grateful for time well spent chasing big throws with phenomenal people! A huge thanks to our terrific team of officials, volunteers, and Warhawk student-athletes for their support in making the day a success as well!

Full Results link available on our Story and Bio. Stay tuned for more throws and training opportunities to come at UW-Whitewater this academic year!

Go Warhawks! 🟣⚪️

UWW Open the Vault - 4, 5, 6‼️

Summer provides a great opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and prepare for where we’re headed! Approaching Year III at UW-Whitewater, it has been incredible to guide such hard-working, invested, and talented athletes toward their goals!

My first group of seniors, Tyler, Sean, and Kenni, not only set the tone for wonderful progress to happen, but also supported me in my new role with the Warhawks. They showed trust, led others, and served as guinea pigs often and always (especially Kenni, see above)! For some time I’ve wanted to shout them out and share some fantastic (and fun) training footage from our time together. Incredibly thankful for them and proud to see them taking their next steps in life - that’s what it’s all about!

There’s a reason these folks are UWW Top 10 Throwers! What an awesome crew. Please enjoy these flashbacks and memories as much as I did. Thank you, 4, 5, 6!!!
