I’d never thought about the lotus flower before... Why would a lotus flower hide in the forest? I couldn’t stop thinking about her.🪷🤍 Basically, Life of Pi is about a kid named Pi who grows up in a zoo in India, practicing three different religions because he just “wants to love God.” Things get wild when his family tries to move to Canada and their ship sinks in the Pacific. Pi ends up stuck on a lifeboat for 227 days with a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. To stay alive, he has to ditch his pacifist ways, learn to fish, and figure out how to coexist with a predator that could eat him at any second. Eventually, they wash up in Mexico, the tiger disappears into the woods without even a “thank you,” and Pi is left to explain what happened. When people don’t buy the tiger story, he tells a much darker, “human” version of the events. The big takeaway? It’s all about perspective. The book asks you: Which story do you prefer? The one with the tiger or the one without? It’s a deep dive into how we use storytelling and faith to survive the impossible. #lifeofpi #irrfankhan #surajsharma
