Still trying to absorb last evening, there’s only so many times you get to watch the first screening of your first feature film, and that’s once.

Putting your creation in the hands of an audience for the first time is easily one of the most terrifying and yet exhilarating experiences. After all, the medium matters the most for them.

I’m so immensely proud and grateful for everything this entire cast and crew put into this film. Your efforts shine so brightly and I can’t wait for you all to see it eventually!

@sandeepparikh @rekha_s we’re making a rapture happen!

Day 5 of Director Session Edits for @vidhyasguidemovie with @va5un. Some lessons for all you #indiefilm nerds out there

1. I’ve never met an assembly cut that hasn’t made me want to unalive myself but that’s ALSO what Martin Scorsese says so I’m
in good company. Just gotta roll up your sleeves and trust the process

2. Editing is excavating. You will find your movie amidst on that footage. A good editor helps you understand that the move has to take its own shape outside of your preconceived notions

3. The editor is the last objective collaborator, you’ve got. Pick someone whose sensibilities you can trust.
