OLN spotlighting Dr Maroro Zinyemba. Dean of faculty of Skills and Foundational Learning at NorQuest College.

She shares that it's never too late to go back to school. Never too late to reinvent yourself.

Don’t let fear stop you. Don’t let being different stop you. Your presence in that classroom is bigger than you—it’s for your family, your future, and your community.

Take the first step. Seek knowledge. Be present. Change your story.
Your journey is just beginning.

Stay bless 🙌 ❤️

We are meeting with HBC's very own @chidomuchemwa to discuss her collection of short stories, Who Will Bury You, today, Sunday 31st August. The collection is incredibly touching, poignant. Themes of grief, identity, family are so striking they are almost tangible, as we follow Chido's characters between Zimbabwe and Canada.

Here's a snippet from HBC member Maroro's catch up with Chido in Toronto!

SistaWalk at Elk Island National Park 🌿
We did it! Our guided hike along the Shirley Lake Trail at Elk Island National Park was nothing short of amazing!

Thank you to all the incredible Ladies who joined us. Your energy, laughter, and spirit made this 4-hour journey through nature so memorable.

Special shoutout to our brilliant and knowledgeable guide, Heather Doyle from @elkislandnp, who brought the trail to life with powerful insights into the wildlife, ecosystems, and history of the park.

And of course, deep appreciation to our friends at @parkbus for providing smooth and reliable transportation for our group. You ensured we traveled together in comfort and ease, from a convenient city pick-up to being dropped right at the heart of nature.

We walked, we learned, we connected and we grew stronger in sisterhood.
