A wee snapshot of what my art life looks like lately 🥹🎨✨

A year ago I started painting again because it was the one thing I’d found that could actually quiet my ADHD brain especially between daily life, baby duties and full time work 🙏🏽

No lists running in the background. No thinking about the twelve other things I should be doing. No future panicking- just colours and a tiny space to make a mess - well a glorified mess 😅 whilst my baby contact napped🫶🏽

Now somehow there are opening nights, Gallery walls, paintings bigger than me, friends and family showing up with champagne, other artists I admire, selling my work and even tiny people asking for my autograph! Oh And, apparently, a tiny pipe-smoking frog causing absolute chaos on the internet! LOLLL 😂🐸 currently 133k views btw 😅 WILLDDD!

Sometimes I look around and think… how did I get here?🤔

I mean I’ve always thought about becoming an artist but I didn’t know now could be my shot?! 🥹🫶🏽

Maybe the lesson isn’t that you suddenly become the thing you’ve always wanted to be…but that sometimes life gives you a moment where you finally decide to follow it 🥹

You make the thing.
You submit the thing.
You show up.
You let people see it.

And somewhere along the way, you realise… ohhh I CAN do this?! 🥹🫶🏽

Very grateful for this colourful little chapter — and everyone who has become part of it! LEGGOO!

This project was meant to happen. 🎨✨ The owners wanted my exact style, so we had the freedom to create something we truly love. 🤙🏻 We clicked with them from day one, and working on @acaicartelgc was so much fun.

Wishing them the best of luck with their new store opening in Helensvale in a few weeks. Make sure you stop by! 🙌

And a special shoutout to Magdis ❤️ She’s becoming the best mural assistant I could ask for. Every project, her brushwork gets better and better, and I couldn’t be prouder.💪🏼

Fun night for the art comp! 🎨🔥

Three rounds, artists going head-to-head, pieces coming to life right in front of us, then straight to auction. The energy was unreal. ✨️

So much talent in one room. Huge shoutout to all the incredible artists who brought it 👏✨

What a night at @gallery8goldcoast 1st Art Battle!! 🎨🔥

Still buzzing from the energy! So stoked to announce I took the WIN for Heat 1 with my Kingfisher! 🐦✨ It was such a rush taking it to the Finals where I was honored to be named the People’s Choice for my Bee on Manuscript Paper 🐝 🥰

I didn’t take the overall crown this time, but honestly, being in that final circle with such incredible talent was the real prize. 🦁🚀 Was so fun to battle it out with you ladies @vaga.art , @inessatreasures & @steph_long_art !! 👏🏾👏🏾

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support, cheered me on, and cast their votes—you made the night unforgettable! And a huge shoutout to @gallery8goldcoast for hosting such a killer event and providing a space for us to create out loud. Gold Coast talent is on another level!
