POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
35 years ago, my life was interrupted by an accident that should’ve taken me out. Today, I’m still here. Still walking. Still waking up grateful. This isn’t just a morning routine… it’s proof. Proof that strength and courage activate resilience. Proof that survival wasn’t random. Proof that miracles walk among us and sometimes they’re holding coffee on the way to work. I am the miracle I once prayed for. And today, I honor the woman who lived to tell it. ☕👑 #35YearsLater #WalkingMiracle #ResilienceInMotion #SurvivorStory #StrengthCourageResilience

In all my trials and resilience, I’m reminded that strength is woven into my very being—especially in a room filled with Haitian women. I realize our experiences stem from a shared consciousness, deeply rooted in the soil of our homeland 🇭🇹. Listening to the stories of this incredible panel of women made me feel truly seen and validated. To all my Haitian girls: You are who you are because of the ancestors who live within your DNA. Give yourself the space to express what they never had the opportunity to. Your light shines through the lens of community, resilience, hospitality, excellence—and of course, a little shade 🇭🇹😂. I look forward to more conversations like this! @glowdemption The

I ran into doctors , authors, publicists , mommies, ands aunties that all have one common interest they embrace sisterhood! We as black women flex every day .. but QOTD what was your biggest flex of 2024? How did you flex in 2024? The ladies @valala77 | @nadine_lucate | @judithjacques

Testimony Loading…….. This was exactly what my soul needed: to be in a room with so many dynamic, powerful, and beautiful women, all in one accord, like-minded with a shared goal to support and honor one another for the work they’re doing. The three-day event felt like a warm embrace, filled with teaching, encouragement, and love—a place you simply had to be there to fully understand the experience. #BWLI2024 #BLACKWOMENONLONGISLAND #BWIM #BLACKWOMENINMEDIA

This past Saturday, I had the honor of joining the Black Voters of Long Island at an unforgettable voting rally. As a proud community partner, I was inspired by the unity and passion displayed. The event featured a dynamic marching band, a heartwarming children’s choir, and powerful speeches from NYS Attorney General Tish James and our future Assemblyman, Kwani O’Pharrow. I was also surrounded by esteemed community leaders: • Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre • Suffolk County Legislator Jason Richberg • Vanessa Baird-Streeter, President and CEO of the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island • Madeline A. Quintyne-McConney, Commissioner of Human Services of the Town of Babylon • BVLI Board & Committee Members: Rochelle Kelly Apson, Retha Fernandez, and Laura Harding • Linda Frederique, President of the Jack & Jill Suffolk County Chapter • Sister Friend and past honoree, Andrea De Loney A special thanks to my sister, Valerie Benjamin Desir, for capturing the essence of the rally and our experience so beautifully. Let’s continue to exercise our American right and VOTE! #BlackVotersofLongIsland #BlackVotersLI #BWLI #Vote2024 #CommunityUnity #MakeHistory #BVLI
