This year, Virgo season changed my life. My birthday week was marked by a fullness so natural, it must have wanted to happen all on its own. I’m just grateful I was a part of it.

I’m still integrating what a magical season it’s been.

Some of the highlights:

I left NY. Yes! After only 15 months on the Munsee/Lanape ancestral lands, it became abundantly clear to me that my chapter in NY was complete. In retrospect, it makes sense. My Pluto line runs through the state of NY from the beginning of the Hudson River to the tip of Manhattan. 🫠 Everything about my time there was rife with perpetual death/transformation. Cute and needed but NOT sustainable. 😅

What else…? I pulled my back out days before our trip and a jam-packed, 4-week schedule. And then, through prayer and trust, my back was back. 💃🏽

Birthday week was so full, it was bursting at the seams.

I went home, introduced my Love to Diné Bikeyah, took him to his first rodeo, taught yoga, closed the second run of my 4-month Embodied Ancestry container, spoke at the UNHS women’s conference then, flew to the Bay Area to support another ceremony. 😮‍💨

Lastly, I moved to the next stage in my medicine apprenticeship. 🙌🏽 I’ve been on this path for 6 years, and that was the most beautiful birthday gift I could have received from God and the plants. I’ll be writing more on that journey soon!

Thank you to everyone who has been patient with my delayed responses, as I’ve been moving through life at a break-neck pace the last 6 weeks. 😅 It feels so good to be back on the ground.

Thank you to my partner who has been such a steady and patient presence supporting me/us through all this madness.

My mantra the last 6 weeks.

Somewhere in middle America. Appreciating the big cotton candy skies I had missed so much in NY.

My favorite sacred place on earth. I spent my last bday on the Rez here with my family. Returning to this sacred spot with my Love and my family to celebrate me felt like gorgeous medicine. We played a little pinecone + branch baseball and used cowpies as bases. 😂

Heaven is real.

We sang in 20+ languages and played more than 15 different instruments from all over the world. The music we co-wrote with Spirit in this space was nothing short of Godly. The FOOD?! Every dish was a spell cast by a chef/fairy. That’s the only way I can describe the magic that unfolded in that kitchen.

The weekend was SO incredibly rich, dripping with breakthroughs and profoundly life-changing revelations.

I’m immensely grateful for this life. I
I could not have stepped into this work without my support team—my family, my mentors, my Ancestors, my guides, and my self. This medicine path continues to amaze me and I would choose it a thousand times over.

Hey ya'll I want to introduce you all to my partner, Valerie.

I don't normally do a formal introduction of partners of mine, but something about this feels really important, because we're about to be doing a lot of work in the world together.

One of the first times we hung out together, she was sharing and playing music she'd written. As soon as she opened her mouth and I heard the sweetness of her voice, my entire body melted and relaxed, and I knew that was a really good sign. Don't get yourself mistaken though; she is a wild beast of a woman, and it is an honor to be with her in her fullness of expression.

Shortly after we started dating, we wrote our first song together, and it was immediately obvious that medicine that our voices create and that our music creates is potent. As a medicine musician, this was incredibly exciting for me. The fact that I can write music in different languages with this person, that our voices blend the way they do, it has been a dream that I have always had

And now: next Friday, April 3rd, we're making our first public concert debut together.

It's called Resonance: A Concert for Connection, and it's happening at the SF Commons in San Francisco from 7–9:30 PM.

In a very Kedar fashion, we're not just doing a passive concert. This is going to be a whole interactive experience of connection inwards and connection outward, with some skillful facilitation throughout. You'll be meeting your fellow concert attendees, preparing for a deeply internal experience, and also an experience of connection between you and the people around you. Don't be surprised if you leave the concert having made a new close friend.

Every life has a curriculum.

Mine included instability, childhood physical and SA abuse, resilience, dedication, creativity, travel, heartbreak, adventure, and learning how humans can human.

Some of it I chose.
Some of it chose me.

Over time, I learned that the things we carry don’t have to stay burdens.

With the right tools, support, and attention, they can become the very material that moves a life forward.

And this the very spirit behind Alchemy with Ash.

(Late as always but…)The year of our lord 2025… the year of the snake… and as snakes do to grow, they shed skin.
It had it all. Unbound love, heartbreaks, happiness, absolute sadness, old friends, new friends, destruction in order to build. It wasn’t easy for me or for anyone I know; even so, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I stand precisely where I must be.

It would be reasonable to not lean into heart-forward energy when so much feels heavy, unjust, and unresolved right now.

But I keep feeling the echo from Bad Bunny this past Sunday: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

How might more love move through you right now? 
Maybe it looks like laughter with someone who really sees you.
As eyes that soften in recognition.
As breath that deepens together.
As connection without words. As commitment to stay in instead of pull away.
As choice turned into action, again and again.

Whatever the pressure is of Valentine’s Day week… we know love is more than flowers and dinner reservations. And we know love is not reserved for romantic connections.

…it’s a whole damn vibe! ♥️ 
It’s how we show up in each moment. How we stay human with each other. How we keep choosing connection. Especially now.
