june brought so much. i finished my last radio play „fänggen“ that was broadcast just two weeks after our final day at the studio. it’s about fireflies and a small town in bavaria around summer solstice. i would have never started writing something thats pushing the limits of reality, if it werent for the works of john blanche, who passed away in june. i saw the news while i was working at the studio and was shook. the days after, all my socials were filled with his sketches and paintings and i hope a ton of people discovered his amazing work through the shared celebration of his life. celebrate your loved ones, celebrate the stuff that gets you excited, art, nature, great lentil soup, whatever. take care, bisous, lilly

With the exhibition „Still Performing“, FOTOHOF presents three artistic positions in which performance and photography are closely intertwined. While „still“ refers to the photographic image, the frozen moment, or the cinematic still frame, „still performing“ simultaneously signifies an ongoing action. Photography appears here not merely as documentation of artistic performances, but as a snapshot of a continuing performative process in which social roles and identities are made visible and negotiated.

STILL PERFORMING
Fotohof Salzburg

>12.06.–30.07.2026
With “Still Performing”, FOTOHOF presents artistic positions that combine performance and photography. At the center of the exhibition are constructed images that conceive of the photograph as a stage. Here, photography is not only a static representation, but part of performative strategies that actively expose processes of attribution and power relations. Against this backdrop, the works of Florian Aschka & Larissa Kopp, Andy Kassier, and Milena Wojhan engage subversively with institutional and discursive spaces. They question entrenched narratives and roles within majority society, as well as the impact of digital media on our self-images.

STILL PERFORMING

>12.06.–30.07.2026

Raised in a nomadic family on the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, Bayandalai creates music shaped by landscape, memory and cultural resonance. Across Wind of Oirat, traditional Mongolian elements intertwine with post-rock, experimental composition and subtle electronic textures, producing a sound that feels both deeply rooted and strikingly contemporary.

Landschaftsmalerei

Ausstellung von atelier ///
07.08.-27.09.2025
Stadtgalerie Lehen, Inge-Morath-Platz 31

Eröffnung am Do., 7.8.2025, 18 Uhr

Was passiert, wenn hängt, was steht und fällt, was hängt?
