This weekend we had the immense pleasure of watching Valentina graduate college. As a friend of mine said, weren’t we in college the other day? Yeah, that’s how fast it all went by. At the same time, I remember when I saw the first-day jitters, the first parties, first tailgate, first game, the frat flu, the stress of balancing life, the stress of tests, the stress of trying to make some money in Gainesville (😅), the frustrated visits to any clinic, the hit-and-run that got caught and she made him pay, the first blackout, the new friends, relationships, the many apartments (upgrades, thank God), and so many other firsts. The ones I can’t remember and the ones she didn’t tell me because, frankly, she was busy becoming an adult. Like an adult premium plus. Valentina was more ready than she imagined. I saw it in her. She needed to fly. And my God, she did it all beautifully. As your mama, but most importantly as your friend, it’s such a blessing to witness it all. To be privileged enough to be by your side in this lifetime. I see your stress now with the question: what now? And I can only smile. You are so ready, my love. You are the one who has everything it takes to make it anywhere your heart desires. Congratulations, Tin. You did it!!! I am so so proud of you and love you with all of my heart. 🧡💙 #gogators
