@wexfordfestivalopera
👏👏👏☘️💚🇮🇪☘️

🎥 ‘It’s a very passionate opera … Prokofiev was a composer in the highest meaning of this word’.

Go behind the scenes of Prokofiev’s #TheGambler with conductor, @valentinuryupin, and cast members Sophie Gordeladze @gordeladzesophie and Alexei Botnarciuc @botnarciuc.

Based on Dostoevsky’s novella, The Gambler throws us into a society obsessed with money, status, desire and the intoxicating thrill of risk.

This is a night of operatic intensity you won’t want to miss.

Photos from our first concert in Sion! ✨

A magical evening in the cathedral, where Kanchelli’s mysterious, enigmatic and dramatic sound world met the brilliance and luminosity of Mendelssohn.

We were honored to share the stage with the exceptional soloists Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova, conducted by the brilliant Valentin Uryupin.

So happy to have shared this special evening with you all! ❤️🎶
