A collection of many hugs, my love letter to track and field:

I have done track for the past 11 years. This sport has been a part of who I am since I was 11 years old, and I know it will always continue to be so.

I debated quitting many times throughout the years. It’s a sport that requires you to give your all 100% of the time, 11/12 months of the year. I had my challenges with coaches, times, injuries, etc. but I always came back.

College track and field healed me in a way I didn’t know was possible. The community I have found here redefined how I experience love and support from others. When we call ourselves a family, it feels genuine. My teammates and my coaches have cheered on every version of me, whether I was succeeding or struggling. I am who I am because of this team.

The friends I have made here, the connections I have formed, and meeting my wonderful boyfriend has been such an absolute joy and I know these relationships will last a lifetime.

I love OCTF:) what a beautiful thing to have been a part of. Thank you for being the reason I re-fell in love with this sport. You have forever changed how I carry myself in this world ❤️💛
